ASUS CES 2014 video asks: What’s your number?

ASUS posted a mysterious teaser video for the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014 next month. This is the manufacturer’s second teaser video for the event. The first one, which hinted at a new dual-boot Android and Windows 8 tablet, was posted a few days ago.

The new teaser, meanwhile, shows a bunch of balls falling over Taipei, Taiwan while phone dialling sounds are played. The balls are labelled 4, 5, and 6. The video ends with a ball falling into a package that bears the address of the annual tech event.

Some commenters on the video have guessed out that the teaser video could be about a range of new smartphones, possibly measuring 4, 5, and 6 inches.

There isn’t any available information from ASUS about such devices, so we will have to wait until their announcement to confirm what those numbers mean.

At any rate, ASUS seems to be gearing up to tempt consumers with a number of new gadgets. It may be recalled that three models of an ASUS dual-boot Windows 8 and Android tablet were spotted at the FCC a few weeks ago. The devices are believed to pack a 3,910 mAh battery and either the Intel Bay Trail Z3740 0r the Z3770 processors.

If you’re not attending CES, but are curious about the new ASUS products, you can watch the press event on live streaming from the ASUS website here. Already, the company has put up a countdown to the event, which will take place on Monday, January 6th, 2014 12:00 p.m. (PST) / 20:00 p.m. (GMT)  at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Augustus Ballroom IV & III, ( Level 3 / Emperors level ), 3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Meanwhile, CES 2014 is shaping up to be an exciting event as usual, with plenty of new devices and technologies waiting to be shown off by various manufacturers.
