Amazon introduces the Echo Show 5, a cheaper variant of the Echo Show

A lot of different Alexa-powered devices can be pretty pricey, but Amazon just introduced its cheapest Echo Show variant yet: the Echo Show 5

The Echo Show 5 is a small, more affordable version of the Echo Show. It has a 5.5-inch screen, and will set you back just $90. This is a massive drop in price, with the original Echo Show sitting at over $200.

Amazon is actually focusing on privacy concerns with the Echo Show 5. Now, this one comes with a camera cover for those that are concerned about spying.

The online retailer giant will also now allow users of all Echo devices to delete old voice commands you’ve said. You’ll have to go into your Amazon account to delete the large majority of them, but now you can also say to your Alexa speaker “Alexa, delete everything I said today,” or “Alexa, delete what I just said.”

This could potentially help Amazon increase sales, by trying to appeal to the crowd that wants an Echo device, but is very concerned about privacy.

While the Echo Show 5 isn’t quite available yet, you can pre-order it right now in Sandstone or Charcoal.
