Sky Movies has come to android. After becoming a rage on iOS devices, Sky Movies from Sky is all set to rock android phones and tabs. Android users are delighted that this app has come into android after its initial launch on the Apple store.

skym2Customers can explore the full movie list on the Sky Store and then select a movie to be transmitted to their Sky and HD box for recording. The best part about this app is that it is now available on Google’s Play Store and the selection of movies can be done from anywhere, as long as the app has access to Sky Movies, be it at a diner or a train on a user’s journey back from work.

For users who want a night out with the family, Sky Movies app also offers users reviews on the latest movies playing in theatres. Rating, user opinions and reviews and trailers are available on the Sky Movies app. One disadvantage to the Sky app is that users cannot watch movies from within the app. Although Sky Movies features the full trailer, actually watching movies from the Store using the Sky app does not work due to fragmentation and other issues. Users can record the film streamed through Sky and watch the recorded version. Not all phones and tablets are supported; a few like the Nexus 4, HTC’s Desire Series, Sensation Series, One Series, Motorola’s RAZR-i, Sony’s Xperia S, and T and with Samsung’s Galaxy S Series, Note Series and Ace are supported. Tablets supported are Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 and Google’s Nexus 7.

Interesting entertainment app from Sky, Sky Movies is sure to become one of the top rated apps that all users will frequently check before streaming movies to their devices.
