Best Car Speakers
1. BOSS Audio CH6530
We are huge fans of the BOSS Audio CH6530’s as well. They’re a very nice speaker — leagues better than your factory options — that are in an affordable package. You get a total power output of 300 watts per pair, and these come in at 6.5-inches in size. You can get them in sizes as little as 5.25-inches and as large as the 6.5-inch, which is what we’re looking at. These speakers also look really nice as well, outfitting your car with some red and chrome accents. They sound great, but once again, these aren’t the type that are going to outfit your car with a wicked bass.
2. Rockford Fosgate R165X3
Next we have the Rockford Fosgate R165X3 speakers. This is a set of two 6.5-inch speakers. The Rockford Fosgate R165X3’s can range from as small as 4-inches in size to as large as 6.75-inches. There’s an integrated tweeter crossover, a vacuum polypropylene cone, and the midrange. Overall, these speakers sound phenomenal when wired up, giving you new clarity and quality to all of your favorite tunes. Unfortunately, they only come in a set of two, so you’ll have to purchase two sets to outfit your entire car. The set doesn’t come with an amp or anything — these are just straight speakers to upgrade the stock ones in your car. Keep in mind that you’re not going to get thumping bass with these — the goal of the Rockford Fosgate’s is to give you crystal clear music.
3. JBL GTO609C
Next up on our list is the JBL GTO609C speakers. You’ve no doubt heard the name JBL before, as they provide a wide range of audio products, even for smartphones. The GTO609C speakers are a set of two, coming in at 6.5-inches in size. These high fidelity speakers will upgrade any vehicle’s dull factory speakers with crisp, clear sound. These are able to produce a really great bass as well, though it isn’t too crazy. On top of that, they’re super versatile, as they can fit in many different types of vehicles. Again, you’ll need to at least buy two sets to outfit your entire car, but you won’t regret it with how excellent these speakers sound.

4. Kenwood KF-1665S
Kenwoof is a prolific name in the speaker industry. Over and over again they impress, and that goes for the KF-1665S car speakers as well. These are 6.5-inch speakers capable of a power output of 400 watts. Similar to the Rockford’s, there’s only two speakers in this set, so you’ll have to buy two sets (or more) to outfit your car, depending on how many speakers your car has. These aren’t one’s that will provide you with a thumping bass either, but they’ll do excellent in upgrading your car’s own factory speakers.
5. Pioneer TS-165P
Last, but certainly not least, we have the Pioneer TS-165P’s. You actually get a set of four with this package, allowing you to upgrade both your front and rear speakers. The fronts are 6.5-inches in size, and the rears are just 6-inches. They do have a nice bass, but Pioneer designed the TS-165P’s with the intention of upgrading your highs and general sound across the board. That said, you aren’t going to get that heart-pounding bass in your favorite rap song. They’re still a great option for crisp, clear music quality though.
Best Car Speakers Verdict
As you can see, there are a lot of great speakers on the market for getting rid of those dirty and dull factory speakers. Do you have a favorite set of speakers for your car? Do you prefer one’s that offer crisp, clear music quality or a thumping bass? Let us know in the comments below.
