Solved Samsung Galaxy S8 Call Cannot Be Heard When On Speakerphone

This phone is last year’s flagship model which has several outstanding features. It has a great 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display and it uses the Snapdragon 835 processor which is powerful enough to run any app smoothly. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy S8 call cannot be heard when on speakerphone issue and other related problems.

S8 Call Cannot Be Heard When On Speakerphone

Problem: Hi there, my problem is exactly similar to the one that one of your readers  has asked nearly a year back. When I make or receive a call using speakerphone I can hear the other person perfectly but they CANNOT hear me at all. When I turn off the speakerphone option and use the normal headset only then they are able to hear my voice. This too has occurred suddenly without any apparent reason. I tried everything possible, also did Factory Reset AND Wipe Cache Data but the problem has NOT been solved. So please don’t ask me to Factory Reset it again. Is there a solution that one can solve by one’s self? I’ve been searching the net for this particular issue since past 7 months but nobody seems to have ANY solution to this particular problem with Samsung Galaxy S8 and are only running around in circles with some vague answers about loudspeaker and music and irrelevant stuff like that. Also please specify whether its a software or hardware issue.

Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the issue still occurs then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component possibly by the speakerphone microphone not working. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S8 Randomly Not Getting Calls

Problem: Unable to receive sms or cellular calls some time after powering up or reset or re-camp on cellular network Phone having this problem – Samsung Galaxy S8 and it is a dual SIM model. Whenever this happens, I won’t get calls or sms. Calls and SMS messaging problem happens at the same time. i.e. if I have problem with calls, it will manifest in sms messaging as well. Problem clears if I either – Recycle power by holding down power and select reset – Turn on and off airplane mode Problem will recur after sometime (duration varies) after cycling power or turning on/off airplane mode Here are things I have tried – Factory reset and fresh reinstalled all my apps – Power up in Safe mode without uninstalling apps What I have not tried is Factory reset without installing any apps.

Solution: Does this problem occur in a particular area or does it occur wherever you are? If it occurs only in a particular area then there might be a network problem in that area. In case the issue occurs wherever you are then the best thing to do right now is to perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you should try getting a new SIM card and if this doesn’t fix the problem then you will need to have the phone checked at a service center as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.

S8 Not Getting Calls Or Text After Software Upgrade

Problem: Yes I own a Samsung Galaxy s8 . It was working great before the firmware was upgraded to the Oreo 8.0. My service is with Verizon. After the upgrade I can’t get No text or calls or anything that needs the internet. (LTE is not working) all features start working as long as I’m on wifi….. which means as long as I am on a network phone works great…. No network phones a paper weight.. please help me… ASAP… THANKS YOU FOR YOUR HELP

Solution: It’s very likely that the APN settings of your phone are not correctly set. Go to your phone APN settings and make sure to have the following settings.

If the problem persists then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
