How to Reset System Settings Only on your Realme X2 Pro

Doing this will bring your phone back to its out-of-the-box configuration. It has an effect of a factory reset only that none of your files and data will be deleted. Everything will remain intact except the settings of your phone. Here’s how it’s done:

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up to pull the App drawer.
  2. Find and then tap on Settings. (You may also swipe from the top of the screen to pull the Notification Center down, and then tap the Settings icon at the top-right corner.)
  3. Find and tap Additional Settings.
  4. Scroll all the way down and tap Back Up and Reset.
  5. Touch Reset to Factory Settings.
  6. Now, touch Reset System Settings Only.
  7. Enter your security lock, if prompted.
  8. Touch Reset System Settings Only.
  9. Touch Reset System Settings Only to confirm.
  10. A small box will pop up that says ‘Restoring…’

All the settings on your Realme X2 Pro has already been brought to factory defaults.

  8. Touch Clear Data at the bottom of the screen.
  9. Touch Clear Data again to confirm.
  10. Your phone will reboot once the apps have been deleted, so wait until it has finished wiping off all apps and their data.
  11. You will then be asked to set your phone up and if you deleted your apps and data because you have a problem with one or some of them, don’t restore them during the setup.
  12. Follow on-screen instructions to finish the setup.

How to Clear All Data on your Realme X2 Pro

Unlike the previous tutorial, this one’s going to delete all personal or third party data that was saved in your phone. The apps you installed, however, will remain. This is particularly useful if you only want or suspect that some of the files in your phone are causing the problem.

  6. Touch Clear All Data.
  7. Touch Clear Data at the bottom of the screen.
  8. Touch Clear Data again to confirm.
  9. Your phone will reboot once the apps have been deleted, so wait until it has finished wiping off all apps and their data.
  10. You will then be asked to set your phone up and if you deleted your apps and data because you have a problem with one or some of them, don’t restore them during the setup.
  11. Follow on-screen instructions to finish the setup.

As you may have noticed already, Realme X2 Pro allows you to reset your phone but not all at once. You may reset the settings only, but all your apps and data will remain, or you can delete all your apps and data but your settings will remain. If you’re looking for a way to do all of these at once, then the next procedure is what you’re looking for.

A master reset will allow you to bring your phone back to its default settings and configuration, and together with that, all your apps, data, pictures, contacts, messages, etc. will be deleted. If you don’t way to do all the things above just to reset your phone, then this is what you should do. But before that, if possible, make sure to create a copy of your important files and data as they will all be deleted. Also, it’s best to remove your Google account so that you won’t be locked out after the reset. When you’re ready, follow these steps:

  1. Turn your Realme X2 Pro first.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power key simultaneously for 10 seconds or until the Realme logo shows.
  3. Select English by pressing the Power key or by simply tapping the option itself.
  4. Type Wipe Data to initiate the reset.
  5. Enter the verification code that’s provided on the screen.
  6. Now, you have two options: Wipe data but keeps your SMS, Contacts and Photos, or Format that data partition, which will delete everything.
  7. Tap the choice you want. (In this tutorial, let’s choose Format data.)
  8. Tap OK to proceed.
  9. Wait until the wiping of the data partition is complete.
  10. When you’re prompted that it’s successful, tap OK.
  11. Your phone will reboot, so wait until it’s finished restarting.
  12. Now, follow on-screen instructions to set up your phone again.
