We won’t recommend that you completely delete your Fitbit account but if you really need to do so for whatever reason, then follow the steps below. You can delete your Fitbit account either by using the Fitbit app, or by going to fitbit.com dashboard.
Before we proceed, we want to remind you that if you are looking for solutions to your own #Android or #Fitbit issue, you can contact us by using the link provided at the bottom of this page. When describing your issue, please be as detailed as possible so we can easily pinpoint a relevant solution. If you can, kindly include the exact error messages you are getting to give us an idea where to start. If you have already tried some troubleshooting steps before emailing us, make sure to mention them so we can skip them in our answers.
Method 1: Delete your fitbit account via Fitbit app
- Open the Fitbit app.
- Tap the Today tab.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Scroll down and tap Manage Data.
- Tap Delete Account and follow the on-screen instructions.
Method 2: Delete your fitbit account via Fitbit dashboard
- Open a web browser and go to fitbit.com/login.
- From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the gear icon.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down and click Delete Account and follow the on-screen instructions.
Keep in mind that hitting the Delete Account button won’t immediately erase your account from Fitbit.com’s servers. Here’s what happens days after deleting your account:
First 7 days: If you change your mind after you confirm your request to have your account deleted, you have 7 days to recover it—log in to your account to restore access to your Fitbit data.
After 7 days: Your account is frozen and can’t be recovered.
Within 30-90 days: Most of your personal account info is deleted within 30 days of when you confirm your deletion request. This includes any subscriptions you have, like for Fitbit Coach. It may take up to 90 days to delete all of your personal info, like the data recorded by your Fitbit device and other data stored in our backup systems. This is due to the size and complexity of the systems we use to store data.
