How to change Fitbit password

There are two ways to change your Fitbit password. One is by using the Fitbit app on your paired device (mobile, or computer) and the other is by going to the Fitbit.com dashboard.

If you want to go the Fitbit app route, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Fitbit app.
  2. Tap the Today tab.
  3. Tap your profile picture.
  4. Scroll down and tap Security and Login.
  5. Tap Change Password.
  6. In the Current Password box, type your current password.
  7. In the New Password and Confirm Password boxes, type your new password.
  8. Tap Change.

If you want to go to fitbit.com dashboard, we suggest that you use a computer for convenience.

Check all your email folders and make sure the email address listed in your personal info is correct. If after an hour you don’t receive your email, contact Customer Support.
  6. Click the link in the password reset email.
  7. Enter your new password and click Set.

How to reset Fitbit password

If you want to reset Fitbit password instead of changing it, you also have a two ways to do it. You can either use the Fitbit app, similar to the one detailed above, or go directly to fitbit.com dashboard. Either way should do.

If you don’t receive the email, it’s possible that you entered your email address incorrectly or the email went to your Spam or Junk folder. Try completing this step again and check all your email folders. If after an hour you don’t receive your email, contact Customer Support.
  5. Click the link in the password reset email. This link takes you to our mobile website.
