5 Best Game Controllers For Pixel 4

Do you like playing games on smartphones like the Google Pixel 4? We do, too, but one of the most frustrating things about it might be on the on-screen digital controls. It’s just so difficult to play Fortnite or another game well. when you’re trying to control your character with a digital directional pad, or trying to aim your gun with a on-screen thumbstick.

That’s why Bluetooth game controllers are so nice — they give you much more precise control over your games, and allow you to have the competitive edge in those multiplayer games like Fortnite.

Not sure what the best game controllers are for the Google Pixel 4? Worry not! We’ve taken the liberty of testing out the best game controllers on Android, and we’re showing you them below. Let’s dive right in.

SteelSeries Stratus XL

Coming up first on our countdown, we’re looking at SteelSeries. SteelSeries has been a giant in gaming peripherals for years now, providing even eSports players with precise equipment. That’s why you cannot go wrong with the Stratus XL. Hook this up to your Pixel 4 over Bluetooth, and you’re to start getting some precise gaming done.

If you’re looking for an experience that is akin to console gaming, the Stratus XL is going to be right up your alley. Being a familiar feel, you can pick it up and game on a professional level almost instantly. This controller can actually be customized to your own personal style, since SteelSeries allows you to create multiple profiles to adjust sensitivities. That’s a really nice thing about this, since you can choose a profile based on the genre you’re playing!

8Bitdo SF30 Pro

Next up, we’re looking at the SF30 Pro by 8Bitdo. This one is a smaller controller, more reminiscent of days like the Gamecube or the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. This one will connect up to the Google Pixel 4 just fine, with full controller support. It actually has wide compatibility, allowing you to use this one with the Nintendo Switch, Windows, macOS, and Android platforms.

It has all of the usual features you would expect — rumble vibration, motion controls, and USB-C charging. If you drain the battery, you can connect up to devices straight through USB-C, avoiding having to keep a charge entirely. It has both D-Input and X-Input functionality.

PowerLead PG9021

Power A has been making all sorts of controllers for Android in the form of the MOGA for years now. They were excellent controllers, but they pretty much stopped, it seems. But now PowerLead is here with a similar setup to the MOGA controllers. The PG9021 is not quite a full-size controller, but is far more comfortable than many smaller controllers out there (Like the 8BitDo).

It still has all of the joysticks and buttons found on a full-size controller, giving you a wide range of control. It has a big battery inside, so when fully charged, you should be able to get a straight twenty hours out of this one.

When you’re done on mobile, you can use this to play game son your PC, too!

Satechi Bluetooth Wireless Gamepad (2019)

Satechi’s upgraded Bluetooth Wireless Gamepad is one of our favorites. It is definitely smaller than the MOGA Hero Power, but it is a little more ergonomic friendly as far as gaming goes. There’s a holder at the top of the controller, allowing you to game with comfort by keeping your Pixel 4 inside that. It will keep your phone secure as well, so you don’t have to worry about it falling out of the holder.

PowerLead Controller

Coming up last on our countdown, we’re looking at the PowerLead Controller. If you want the competitive edge in Fortnite or PUBG — or any similar style game online — this controller is going to bring you the competitive edge. It’s a single unit, designed to work with devices 5- to 10-inches in size. Put it in the middle holder, and you’ll be able to game for hours without a problem.

When you’re done gaming on your Google Pixel 4, you can put this down and turn it off, or connect it up to your tablet for gaming on the big screen. The built-in rechargeable Li-battery provides twenty hours of continuous use after fully charged.

Verdict

These are the best game controllers that you can pick up for the Google Pixel 4. Any one of these will connect up to the Pixel 4 via Bluetooth, and with controller support built right into the Android operating system, all of these should bring you full controller support.
