The United States could throw out the Huawei lawsuit

The drama in the debacle with Huawei seems to get worse as the days go on. This time, the United States filed a motion asking federal courts to throw out a lawsuit that Huawei filed against the federal government months ago.

Huawei claims that the United States acted illegally when it blacklisted Huawei’s products. Huawei filed that motion back in March, claiming that putting limit’s on Huawei’s American business was unconstitutional.

There wasn’t a reason given for wanting the dismissal, but the motion was filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. That was originally where Huawei filed the aforementioned lawsuit.

We imagine that it will likely have to do with the ongoing trade dispute between the US and China, and we’ll hear more as talks between the two governments resume next week.
