How To Fix The Vivo Y95 Can’t Send MMS Issue

Before doing the recommended troubleshooting steps for this problem it’s best to make sure that the phone is running on the latest software version. If an update is available then I suggest that you download and install it first. Once the phone has been updated it’s time to proceed with the steps listed below.

Your carrier will usually require two things from your phone in order for it to be able to send and receive an MMS. First, your phone must have an active mobile data subscription and that it is getting a strong mobile data signal, preferably LTE. Second, your phone should have the correct APN settings. These settings are unique for each carrier so you should compare your phone APN settings to what your carrier is using and make the necessary changes in your device if needed. You can get your carrier APN settings from their website or you can also get it by calling their customer service hotline.

In case both conditions are met by your phone but the issue still persists then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

Perform a soft reset

Try to refresh the phone software as this will remove any corrupt temporary data present in your phone. This can be done easily by simply restarting the device. Although this is usually done on an unresponsive device this should also work in this case.

  • Press and hold the Power and Volume down key for up to 45 seconds.
  • Wait as the device restarts.

Clear the cache and data of the text messaging app

There are instances when corrupt temporary data within the text messaging app can cause this particular issue. If this is what’s causing the problem then you will need to clear the cache and data of this app.

  • Go to the Settings menu>tap on the Apps option.
  • You will see the list of all the apps on your device. Tap on the Message app.
  • Once you open the app information you will see an option of CLEAR CACHE and CLEAR DATA. Tap on both choices.

Check if the issue still occurs.

Start the phone in Safe Mode

Sometimes an app you downloaded will cause the Vivo Y95 can’t send MMS issue when it is installed. This usually happens if the app has bugs or has compatibility issues with the phone. To check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem you will have to start the phone in Safe Mode as only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run in this mode.

  • Turn off the phone
  • Press power button to turn on the phone then long press on the volume down key when the Vivo logo appears
  • The phone should now boot in Safe Mode.

In case the issue does not occur in this mode then there’s a chance that this is caused an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

Wipe the cache partition of the phone

There are cases when the cached data stored in the dedicated partition of the phone can become corrupted. When this happens this will usually cause certain issues to occur on the phone. To eliminate the possibility that this is what’s causing the problem you will have to wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.

  • Press and hold the Volume Down + Power key together for a short while.
  • Release all buttons when Fastboot Mode appears.
  • In this mode select “Recovery”. Use Volume Down to navigate and the Power key to confirm that.
  • Press the volume key to highlight the Wipe cache option then the power key to select it
  • Use the volume keys to go to “reboot system now” and press the power key.
