A major issue that can occur on your phone is when it does not turn on. There are several factors that can cause this problem but basically it either be a hardware or software issue. If this is caused by a faulty hardware component then your best option is to have the device fixed at a service center. If however the problem is caused by a software glitch then this can be fixed by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.

Charge the phone

The first thing you will need to do is to check if the problem is caused by a battery that has no charge. Make sure that the phone battery is fully charged so that we can immediately eliminate a drained battery issue.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
  • Fully charge the phone using its wall charger.
  • In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also try charging the phone from a computer USB port in case charging using the wall charger fails to work.

Once the battery has been fully charged try turning on the phone. If it still does not turn on then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.
