5 Best MicroSD Memory Card For OnePlus 7 Pro

The OnePlus phones have never, ever had microSD support, due to claims from the company that microSD is significantly slower than internal storage. They’re not wrong, but that’s still rough on the folks who need to offload their files onto an external storage platform.

So if you want to add microSD memory card support for the OnePlus 7 Pro, you’ll need to grab an adapter for it here. Once you have that adapter, you’ll obviously need a microSD card to go with it! So here are five of our favorite choices.

SanDisk Extreme PRO V30

First up, we’re looking at SanDisk’s Extreme Pro V30 memory card. This one will work just fine with the OnePlus 7 Pro and the microSD adapter that you pick up.

This one has 64GB of storage, but there are a variety of models for increasing the storage size as well. Data transfer rates are actually pretty fast, allowing you to mvoe around massive photo libraries and data really quickly. Suffice to say, you cannot go wrong with this card!

SanDisk Extreme PLUS U3

We really like the SanDisk Extreme Plus U3 card as well. Just like the name implies, this card was designed for extreme conditions — high-heat areas, around water, dirt, and even magnets. That said, if you ever decide to use this card with, say, a camera in a beach area, the microSD card will have no issue lasting.

The card is even able to withstand accidental spills and other liquids.

This one does have 64GB of memory, so there is plenty of room for housing photos, videos, documents, and other files. Speeds are really good as well — read speeds sit at 95MB per second while write speeds sit at 90MB per second.

One of the cool things about this card is that it comes with software to recover files that you may have accidentally deleted!

Samsung Pro+

The Samsung Pro+ is another excellent one. Designed for the professional, this one will work just fine at the consumer level as well. It actually has a great storage capacity, which is ideal for those larger photo libraries and file systems.

You’ll be able to hold a ton of 4K video on this card, thousands of photos, and add tons of apps to this platform. Things get really impressive in terms of data transfer rates, with read speeds at 95MB/s and write speeds at 90MB/s.

This one is particular nice, because it’s magnet-proof. It makes it safe to use for your phone when you’re using, say, a magnetic holder.

Samsung Evo Select

The Evo Select is another great option. Designed for consumer use specifically, you don’t get nearly as quick speeds and durability as in the Samsung Pro+, but it’s still a nice card.

Ultimately, it’s going to accomplish some of the same means as the others.

This one has a whole 128GB of storage inside, but is designed for consumer-use instead of professional use. That said, you can pack tons of content in this microSD card — Samsung says it can fit almost 12,000 songs or 6 hours of optimized 4K footage. Alternatively, it can fit almost 30,000 photos on it.

Since it comes with an SD adapter in the package, you can use this card with cameras and other devices as well.

Samsung Evo PLUS

Finally, but certainly not least on our list, the Samsung EVO Plus is a pretty good card, despite being one out of Samsung’s budget lines of cards. This particular one comes in 64GB, but has options for all different sizes. .

The only “con” here is that data transfer rates are extremely slow in comparison to others on our list — you still get 100MB per second read, but your write speeds take a massive hit at just 60MB per second.

It’s still not a bad card if you’re just looking to move photos, videos, and other files off of your OnePlus 7 Pro.

Verdict

This setup isn’t the most ideal for the OnePlus 7 Pro, but it at least gives you the ability to offload your photo library, documents, and files onto another storage medium, freeing up space in the OnePlus 7 Pro itself.

That said, these five are some of the best microSD memory cards that money can buy, bringing you the speed and storage space to move large amounts of data around.
