The #Samsung #Galaxy #S8 is a flagship phone released last year that has several outstanding qualities. It has a solid build structure made of an aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass on the front and back. The phone uses a large 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display allowing for the better viewing of various content. Under the hood is a powerful Snapdragon 835 processor which when combined with 4GB of RAM allows multiple apps to run smoothly. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy S8 stuck in download mode issue and other related problems.

S8 Stuck In Download Mode
Problem: Hey there, so my s8 does not want to turn on. I can only boot into download mode and even after trying to reflash the firmware (which flashed successfully) it does not boot into recovery or ROM. I have had this issue for a time now and i don’t want to take it samsung as i voided my warranty. any suggestions would be appreciated. Tried completely draining the phone with the download mode screen and then charging it back up but still nothing. Thought about taking the back glass off and disconnecting the battery to completely try it. Would that help? Best regards
Solution: If the problem still occurs even after flashing the phone firmware then this is most likely a hardware related problem caused by a faulty component. I doubt disconnecting and reconnecting the battery will help solve this problem. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S8 Will Not Charge
Problem: Hi there… Been following your troubleshooting guide and there’s a ton of great stuff that’s very useful, so thank you for that! I’m running into an issue that has been addressed already, but after following your steps, I’m still having problems. My Galaxy S8 won’t charge.. At all. It was slowly holding a charge, as in it would hit 5% after charging for 3 hours, but now there’s nothing. I tried holding the power/volume down buttons to reset, and there’s no response at all. When it’s plugged into a wall socket or my my computer, there’s nothing. Is the phone a lost cause? Or do you think it’s just the battery that needs replacement? Thank you so much
Related Problem: I left my Samsung S8 charging one day ,came back and it couldn’t turn on anymore but there was a blue led light showing .The blue led light stopped showing after some hours but the phone hasn’t come on till now, I’ve tried everything, we even took it to a local care center to check if it was battery problem but it wasn’t. . Later that evening while charging it, it showed a white led light, my phone hasn’t been on since, it’s barely one month old. ..Please help
Solution: For this particular problem you should ty cleaning the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Once the port is clean try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes using a wall charger. If you don’t see any charging indicator then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also try charging the phone from a computer USB port. Once the battery has sufficient charge turn on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.
In case the phone still does not turn on then it’s likely that the battery might need to be replaced. You should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S8 Stuck In Boot Logo
Problem: I’m having issue with Samsung Galaxy S8 and I would like to say that if we agree I am open to pay you something depends if it’s achievable here to solve the issue and the amount. 1. I got this phone from Germany, it was used for sure. 2. It worked when I received it , so I started to have some fun with it , downloaded an app for android and battery went down several times and I charged it and it was fine, but after having fun with that app it never rebooted again – it was stuck on the dark screen showing galaxy S8 android powered and never loaded to the main menu. 3. I went to preboot menu for this phone and I believe that I removed the system from this level ( I am newbie maybe I screwed it this way ) but after that phone rebooted and I could have seen the new samsung logo with animation going on in the background so I thought the system was reinstalling and it will be fine – but I interrupted this process at this level as it took about an hour – probably here I screwed it 4. After that the phone never loaded anymore, I gave it to my friend he knows phones a bit but he said he put some sofot via the cable / maybe odin and we could hear only a voice and nothing else. If you could help me solving this issue I am open to donate you depending if the amount is achievable for me here, no one wanted to help me here but I went to technicians and one said it’s screen without even connecting it to any pc or something – and I could connect it myself to my pc and it sees the phone
They wanted from me like $350 here for a screen replacement here, for sure I won’t do it this way. Thank you for any reply willingness to help me
Solution: To fix this problem you will need to remove the microSD card from the phone ( if you have one installed). Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset in here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. In case the issue still persists then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already which I doubt is the screen. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
