How To Increase Bluetooth Headset Volume For Your Phone

The trend among smartphone manufacturers of removing the 3.5mm headphone jack of their devices ( to make more room for other components and allow HD audio by using the USB port)  is forcing most consumers to consider using Bluetooth headsets. Most of these headset brands have powerful audio capabilities however when they are used on Android devices their full potential is not being enjoyed. The volume control of bluetooth devices will only control the media volume of the Android device itself and not the Bluetooth headset.  This means that you won’t be able to get the maximum volume level of the headset.

There is however a way to increase the Bluetooth headset volume of your phone. This should work for devices running on Android Nougat and above.

The first thing you will need to do is to enable the developer options on your device. To do so, head over to System – About phone, and tap on “Build number” seven times. Now, head over to Settings – System – Developer options.

Scroll down to the “Networking” section.  From here, enable the toggle next to “Disable absolute volume”.

Your Bluetooth volume and system volume will now be separate. You can now max out both settings and enjoy listening to music at a louder volume level.
