But there’s a downside — the Huawei P30 doesn’t support microSD anymore, actually supporting Huawei’s own “Nano Memory”, which is smaller than a microSD card. That said, we’re going to show you our favorite nano memory option for the Huawei P30 below, and we’ll show you four awesome microSD memory cards that you can use with it; however, to use the microSD memory card, you’ll need to pick up an adapter that works through your USB-C port.

So without further ado, here they are:

Huawei 256GB Nano Memory Card

Coming up as number one on our countdown, we’re looking at Huawei’s Nano Memory card. This one has a whopping 256GB of storage space. Huawei says it’s 40% smaller than your average microSD Card, and fits in the dual-SIM slot of the phone, where the second SIM card would be.

It’s around the same speed of a microSD card, giving you roughly 90MB per second in read speeds. You get roughly the same in write speeds as well. That said, you shouldn’t have trouble quickly moving photos, videos, and even apps around.

SanDisk Extreme PRO V30

Coming up next on our countdown, we have the SanDisk Extreme PRO V30. It might be second on our countdown, but so long as you have the microSD adapter, this one can provide your phone with 64GB of storage. This gives you plenty of extra space to house a photo and video library, or any other documents and such.

This card is pretty versatile as well. You can use it for off-loading storage from the Huawei P30, but you can also use it with most other electronic devices, such as cameras. This one is actually rated for keeping up with 4K video filming, so it’ll work flawlessly with most modern smartphones as well as regular cameras. Speeds are good at 90MB per second with sequential write speeds and 100MB per second with read speeds.

SanDisk Extreme PLUS U3

The SanDisk Extreme Plus U3 is up next, and has a lot of similarities to the Extreme PRO; however, this microSD card in particular was built for extreme conditions. You just don’t have to worry about ruining this microSD card in extreme conditions — this one won’t have trouble in high-heat areas, or even around water!

This one features 64GB of memory, though you can shop around and find it in higher or lower capacities. There are read speeds that sit at around 95MB per second while write speeds sit at 90MB per second.

Samsung Evo Select

And finally, but certainly not the least, we have another choice from Samsung — this time the EVO Select. This is actually one of Samsung’s lower-end cards for those that don’t need top tier, professional performance out of their memory card. If you’re not doing 4K filming or anything extremely demanding, this one is a cheaper, more optimal choice.

Additionally, there’s actually 128GB of storage inside of this card, and it comes with some really good data transfer rates inside — you’ve got 100MB per second for read and 90MB per second for write.

Verdict

As you can see, there are some excellent microSD cards that you can pick up for the Huawei P30. The nano memory is probably your best option at number one, as you don’t have to pick up an adapter for the phone that way; however, the microSD cards are still an excellent option for freeing up internal storage space.

Which are you picking up?
