5 Best International SIM Card For Traveling To Denmark

Heading out to Denmark for some international travel? Then you'll want to make sure that you have a SIM card before you head out to the country. You don't want to use the one that you have, because you like many before you, you can easily rack up hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in roaming charges. You certainly don't want to come back home to a bill like that, so using a local, international SIM card is your best bet before your departure.

Orange Holiday SIM

The Orange Holiday SIM comes up as first on our countdown, and also hands-down the best choice for cellular data when on the go in Denmark. Orange's Holiday SIM setup brings any GSM phone you have fast 4G data in Denmark, allowing folks to stay connected with friends and family, even while traveling. Denmark is an excellent choice for this SIM card, but you can use it many other hot EU destinations as well, such as the UK or Germany.

As far as the specs on this plan goes, your initial purchase will give you 10GB of 4G LTE data that you can use for 14 days. There's two hours of talk time, and then another 1,000 messages available. Once you're running low though, you can call up Orange or go online and top off your data for more.

UK Europe ThreeUK SIM Card

ThreeUK is one of the premier data and telecom providers within the UK. Despite being a UK-based company, ThreeUK offers a variety of SIM cards for international travel within the EU as well. This SIM card in particular gives you access to 12GB of data, 3000 minutes in talk time and 3000 messages. Denmark is a great place for this SIM card, but you can use it in most countries within the EU. When you're running low on data, talk, or text, you can top off whenever you need more.

Mobal Europe Plus SIM

The Mobal Europe Plus SIM isn't a bad choice either. With your purchase, you get a whole 1GB of free data, as well as access to unrestricted tethering. This is actually a pretty nice package, particularly because most carriers and data packages charge extra for hotspot and tethering access -- there's usually a $10 or so access fee, but not with Mobal.

Additionally, Mobal also gives you the ability to accept free incoming calls from people in over 130 different countries, including text messages. Outgoing calls and texts is where Mobal starts charging you, and at a rate of 30¢ per minute in all countries. Less expensive than roaming charges in the US, but still pricey. You can top off your data and minutes whenever you want.

Internet with legs Trio

ThreeUK is also the author of the ever popular Internet with legs Trio SIM card. It might have a little less data than the Europe ThreeUK SIM card, giving you just 3GB of data for 90 days; however, you can top off whenever needed. The advantage to using this SIM card is that it will work in any mobile Wi-Fi device, tablets and smartphones alike.

One of the things that we really like about this SIM card is that you can even use this SIM card to test it out with your phone in the US, and without roaming charges. This allows you to essentially make sure it works before fully committing to it.

Keepgo Global Lifetime SIM Card

And finally, we're looking at Keepgo's very own Global Lifetime SIM. It's certainly better than US roaming charges, but the other four are definitely leagues ahead of this one. That said, this SIM card will provide you with 1GB of data that stays valid for 1 year -- and you can refill as you need it. Keepgo's SIM stays valid, you'll just need to make sure that you're refilling at least once a year.

It only works with GSM phones, unfortunately. And there's no talk or text data available. You'll have to keep that to things like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and so on.

Verdict

As you can see, you have a lot of choices as far as international SIM cards go. The best choice on our list here is the choice from Orange, but ThreeUK also has a couple of awesome SIM cards for travel as well. What's your favorite SIM card for heading out to Denmark?
