Take a screenshot on Galaxy S10 Plus using buttons

For this method, you just need to press together a couple of buttons and the screen will be captured. There is no setting to disable or enable this and it’s actually the default way for almost all Android devices to take a screenshot. Here’s how it’s done on your Galaxy S10 Plus…

  1. Open the content you want to capture and make sure it’s displayed on the screen.
  2. Press the Volume Down and Power keys at the same time.
  3. The screen will flash for a second and it’s a sign that the screen was captured.
  4. The screenshot can be accessed or viewed through Gallery.

Personally, I prefer to use this method if I’m using other Android devices. However, I’m using Samsung’s flagships like the Galaxy S10 Plus, there’s another very easy way, and kinda cool, to take a screenshot.

Take a screenshot on Galaxy S10 Plus using Palm Swipe

While I prefer the first method if I’m using other Android device, this one’s my favorite if I’m using one of Samsung’s flagship phones. It’s always fascinating to think that you can use your hand like it’s a scanner and not only that, you don’t have to perfectly time pressing two keys like the one above. All you need to do is run the side of your hand from one edge of the screen to the other and that’s it. For you to be guided accordingly, follow these simple steps to take a screenshot using Galaxy S10 Plus’ Palm Swipe feature:

  1. Open the content you want to capture and make sure it’s displayed on the screen.
  2. Swipe the side of your hand from one edge of the screen to the other. You may swipe it from left to right or vice versa.
  3. The screen will flash for a second and it’s a sign that the screen was captured.
  4. The screenshot can be accessed or viewed through Gallery.

This feature needs to be enabled in previous Galaxy models for the the Galaxy S10 Plus and its variants, it’s enabled out of the box.
