How to screenshot on Samsung Tablet

Samsung tablets have fewer features compared with flagship devices as they target the computing market more. When it comes to taking screenshots, these devices may offer you one native method in doing so, although newer tablets like the Galaxy Tab S4 may offer you two. There are also apps from the Play Store you can use to help you taking screenshots a little easier in some ways.

If you just want to take a screenshot using the conventional way with your Samsung tablet, here’s how it’s done…

  • Press and hold the Power and Volume down keys simultaneously until a white border flashes around the edges of the screen.

This works on all Samsung tablets but if you’re using a newer device, you can use Palm Swipe to capture the screen. If enabled, it’s actually easier to do the screenshot with this. To turn it on, navigate Settings, search for and select Palm swipe to capture. Then, touch the slider to turn on Palm swipe to capture.

Once enabled, you just have to swipe the edge of your hand across the screen to capture the screen you’re currently on. But take note that this feature won’t work if the on-screen keyboard is showing.
