S7 No Service Error

Problem: No signal, no service, data warning ( I have unlimited ) AT&T signal booster is no longer working with my IPs router so I did a reset on my network (default )settings Can you help or recommend anything for me to try besides a hard reset

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to check if the network or SIM card of the phone is causing this problem. The best way to do this is to remove the SIM card from your phone then insert it in another device. Check if you are getting a signal on this other device. If there is no signal then this could either be caused by a faulty SIM or a network problem. In both cases you will have to contact the carrier regarding this matter.

In case a signal is present in this other device then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Check the SIM slot for any signs of dirt. If necessary clean this with a can of compressed air.
  • Reinsert the SIM card to the phone then start it in Safe Mode. Check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t then you might have installed an app that is causing this problem. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try going to a different location then check if the phone can get a signal.

If the issue still persists at this point then you should consider doing a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you need to have this checked at a service center.

S7 Will Not Connect To LTE Network

Problem:  I am having an interesting issue with my Samsung Galaxy s7.  As of a few weeks ago, my phone will not connect to the LTE network, nor will it give an accurate GPS location.   Also during calls I go from full service to 1 bar, and often get dropped calls. I have done a factory reset, replaced the sim card, and went into the Verizon Wireless store to see if they can correct my issues.  An inconvenience to read my directions and not have real time updates, and the dropped calls are bothersome.  Please give me guidance if you have any.

Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset then it’s unlikely that this is caused by a software glitch. You can check if this is a network issue by going to a different area or location then verify if the issue still occurs. In case it does then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component possibly the phone antenna. You will need to have this checked at a service center.

S7 Not Connecting To AT&T Network

Problem: I had trouble losing signal from time to time. I called 411 and they found a discrepancy with my record and corrected it. The trouble was they had my records as owning an Iphone but I had the Samsung S7. They updated me to the S7 and all was fixed. The idea was that the tower would check my record and say hey what’s this guy trying to do trying to connect with an S7 when his record says Iphone, we won’t let him connect. By this time I had an S8 on the way. I did a factory reset on the s7 and sold it to a friend  , he went to the att store and tried to reactivate and the S7 won’t connect to any tower. I got the phone back and tried myself to reactivate at the att store and I had the same results, it won’t connect to the tower. Of course the store rep. couldn’t help and suggested getting a new phone, he also said it may be the antenna in the phone. Before I start replacing part, which I will do myself , I thought I would get your suggestions. Thank you for having a site like this. I am an att employee and frustrated with with the store and lack of repair options.

Solution: For this particular issue I suggest that you do a factory reset first. Make sure to backup the phone data before doing the reset. Next, make sure that the phone is unlocked. This way it will be able to work on not only its original carrier but other carriers as well. You should also try inserting a different SIM card on the phone to check if the issue still occurs. In case it does then this could already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Not Automatically Connecting To Mobile Data When Signal Drops

Problem: Hi I am using Samsung S7. I have bought it a couple of weeks back. It runs Marshmallow. Everything is fine with the phone except the phone network. Whenever I am inside the elevator, the signal drops (okay I accept it). However, once the phone shows full signal, it does not get connected to mobile data automatically even though it is turned on. Every time I need to go via Flight mode on and off. Any work around please? Thanks

Solution: Try resetting the network settings of the phone by going to Settings > Backup & reset > Network settings reset > Reset settings.  This refreshes the connection of the phone. In case the issue persists then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
