You can use your Garmin Forerunner 645 Music without needing other devices but there are features you can enjoy more if it’s paired with a smartphone. Going back to our troubleshooting, here are the things you need to do if your Forerunner 645 Music no longer syncs…

Reboot both your smartphone and your smartwatch. This will refresh their memories as well as refresh the connection between them. They are connected via Bluetooth and sometimes wireless connections just need to be refreshed to work properly. A reboot might just fix the problem. Restart your smartphone first and then turn off your Forerunner 645 Music and turn it back on.

Make sure that your watch is within 20 feet of your smartphone. Again, they’re connected by Bluetooth and while such technology has evolved significantly, distance is still its mortal enemy. Just keep both devices close enough so that data are transmitted properly.

Force close Garmin Connect Mobile app on your phone and open it again. The app does all the work as far as transmitting data is concerned. Force closing the app and opening it again refreshes it as well as it’s connection to the watch.

Factory Reset your watch. If all else fails, you need to factory reset your Garmin Forerunner 645 Music for it to work again. You may lose all your settings, files and other data by doing this but you’re also bringing the device back to its default settings or configuration that works.

  1. Hold UP.
  2. Select Settings > System > Reset.
  3. To reset the all of the device settings to the factory default values and delete all activity information and stored music, select Delete Data and Reset Settings.

I hope that we’ve been able to help you fix the problem with your device. We would appreciate it if you helped us spread the word so please share this post if you found it helpful. Thank you so much for reading!
