How to fix Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro that won’t turn on (easy steps)

One of the selling points of the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro is its huge battery (3300 mAh). This phone can last a day or two without requiring the owner to charge it. You can double that if you turn the power saving mode on. However, some of our readers who happen to own this device have been complaining that their units turned off and won’t turn back on. The problem reportedly started without any obvious cause or reason.

In this post, I will share with you the solution that we’ve been using for so long to fix issues like this. We know it’s effective for as long as the problem isn’t a result of liquid and/or physical damage. So, as long as your Galaxy C7 Pro hasn’t been dropped on a hard surface or submerged in water, there’s a possibility you can fix it on your own without having to ask the technician for help. How to fix Galaxy C7 Pro that won’t turn on

More often than not, if the phone turned off by itself without any apparent reason, then it’s a system crash. It might be due to several factors but let’s not dwell on that. What we’re trying to do here is how to make your phone respond and turn back on. So, follow the procedures below as one of them may help you…

First off, you have to do the Forced Reboot. It’s very easy and safe to do but also very effective in dealing with issues like this or ones that result in a firmware crash. To do this, press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power key of your phone at the same time for 10 seconds or more. If the problem is indeed due to a system crash, then it would turn on and boot up successfully.

Such combination will simulate battery pull and forces your phone to start up. It will then refresh your phone’s memory and address issues that may have caused the system to crash. However, there’s no guarantee the problem won’t happen again in the future but, at least, you already know what to do should the same problem bug you again.

If, by any chance, your phone won’t respond to the combination, try doing it a couple more times to make sure you’re doing it right. If it still won’t respond after that, then you should try this…

  1. Press and hold the Volume Down button and don’t release it.
  2. While holding it down, press and hold the Power key and keep both keys held down for 10 seconds or more.

It’s basically the same as the above only that we’re trying to hold the volume down button before the power key as doing otherwise won’t result to the Forced Reboot. If the phone is still not responding to this, then try the following:

  1. Plug the charger to the AC outlet. Make sure the outlet you’re using is working.
  2. Using the original cable, connect the phone to the charger.
  3. Regardless whether the phone shows it’s charging or not, leave it connected to its charger for ten minutes.
  4. Now, press and hold the volume down button and the power key at the same time for 10 seconds or more but this time while the device is connected to its charger.

If the problem isn’t with the hardware, your phone should be working properly now. However, after doing these things and the phone continues to be unresponsive, then it’s time to bring the device to the service center.
