These headphones are designed for working out or running, so they’re always going to be your best bet if you’re planning on running for long intervals. It’s imperative, however, that you remember to charge these earbuds before a workout as they can run out pretty quickly, usually in about 6-8 hours depending on the kind of headphones you’re getting.

So which are the best workout earbuds available in the market right now? Well, we’re going to have a closer look at five of the best workout earbuds available in 2018. So let’s get right to our list.

5 Best Workout Earbuds

Bose SoundSport Free

Bose is a renowned name in the audio equipment industry and with good reason. The company makes high performance audio accessories ranging from speakers to Bluetooth earbuds. We’re going to talk about the latter today, the SoundSport Free, which the company calls “truly wireless sport headphones”. If you’re aware of the Apple AirPods, this made with the same idea in mind, although it’s significantly better looking and performs even better.

The SoundSport Free can only last up to 5 hours on a single charge, which isn’t much, but considering its size, that’s pretty decent. Charging the earbuds is as easy as plugging a standard micro USB cable onto the port on one of the earbuds. The company also sells a wireless charging case, although it’s not required to charge the earbuds.

These headphones are water resistant as well, so you have nothing to worry about in terms of sweat or rains. The SoundSport Free is also one of the louder earbuds you can buy, which is expected given Bose’s reputation in the industry as a pioneer in this field. You can get the SoundSport Free on Amazon for just $199.99. This doesn’t include the wall charger, which will set you back by an additional $8.

Jaybird RUN

These are pretty similar to the SoundSport Free in terms of functionality. Given the unique shape, the manufacturer is offering three different sets of tips for a comfortable and secure fit. Using the Jaybird app, customers can easily locate their missing earbuds, which is a much needed feature for smaller earbuds. A charging case is provided by default here, providing an accrued playtime of 8 hours. This coupled with the four hours already available on the earbuds adds up to 12 hours, making these ideal for medium and long distance trips as well.

There’s a single control button on the earbuds, which can be used to answer or reject calls. There’s a dedicated microphone here as well, allowing you to converse freely without ever having to take out the paired smartphone. Naturally, the Jaybird RUN is sweat and water resistant, so you can wear these for prolonged intervals without worrying about any internal damage.

The earbuds are currently sold in a “Drift” variant, with no other color options available. At $149.99, these headphones are very well priced, thus competing directly with the Bose SoundSport Free earbuds.

JBL Reflect Fit

This is perhaps one of the most advanced headphones on this list as it is the only one with heart rate monitoring tech on board. The earbuds can send heart rate alerts to your phone without even having to touch the earbuds or your phone. This can be quite a useful feature to have on earbuds given the fact that users generally have a high breathing rate while running.

The headphones come with a sweat proof body, allowing you to sweat it out for prolonged intervals. Users are recommended to get the JBL Connect app for their Android smartphones as it allows you to customize certain controls of the earbuds. The vibrate feature on the headphones is recommended as it can alert you of an incoming call with gentle vibrations on your ears.

The Reflect Fit can last up to 10 hours on a single charge, which is pretty decent for a pair of earbuds. The neck band has been designed in a way to ensure the earbuds can be worn for long periods of time. The Reflect Fit will set you back by $149.95.

AUKEY Latitude

If you’re looking for a cost effective wireless headphones, the Aukey Latitude won’t be too far away from your list. These headphones pair with your phone over Bluetooth and can play music for up to 8 hours and up to 240 hours of standby, which is pretty amazing. Charging the earbuds doesn’t take more than 90 minutes. The Latitude boasts of three customized EQ settings for enhanced customization to your music.

Further, it is IPX4 certified for water/sweat resistance, so you have nothing to worry about when taking these out for a run. Moreover, these earbuds are available in three attractive colors. The best part, however, is that you will only have to shell out $25.99 for the Aukey Latitude.

Jabra Sport Coach SE

Jabra is a well known figure in the fitness segment. Known initially for its mono Bluetooth earbuds, the company has now made an expected switch to sport headphones. The Sport Coach SE is not any ordinary wireless earbuds. It can offer in-ear coaching for motivation and support during your workouts, making these truly smart earbuds.

Using the Track Fit motion sensor, the earbuds can cleverly record your workout reps even if you’re not tracking it. The earbuds also have in-line controls to handle music, volume and incoming calls. The company is offering 3 years of warranty against sweat related damage provided you register your earbuds through the Jabra Sport Life app. The Jabra Sport Coach SE will cost you $80.69 on Amazon.
