S8+ Does Not Charge To 100%
Problem: I have samsung s8 plus. while charging near to 95% mobile gets disconnected and connected on its own with auto screen on and beep sound due to this it cannot charge till 100%. Is this issue related to charging port or battery?
Solution: The first thing you will need to do in this case is to make sure that the problem is not caused by dirt or debris stuck in the charging port of the phone. To do this you will need to clean the phone charging port with a can of compressed air then check if the phone will charge to 100%. If it still doesn’t then try using a different charging cord and wall charger.
In case the issue persists then the next step is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. To do this you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone just yet. Try to charge the phone first and see if it reaches 100%.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could be caused by an issue with the battery.
S8+ Turns Off Randomly
Problem: Hello, I currently have a samsung galaxy S8+ . It’s been about 6 month since I purchased this, and the phone started to turn off by itself about 1 month ago. I went to a near UBreakifix for a soft reset, but that did not fix the problem and also sent this device twice to samsung customer service center for further evaluation (probably factory reset), but I’m having the same problem. I would love to get any help to fix this problem. Thank you.
Solution: If your phone is turning off randomly then the first thing to do is to eliminate the possibility that a software glitch is causing the problem by performing the steps listed below.
- If your phone has a microSD card installed then remove it. Check if the issue still occurs.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone just yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S8+ Not Turning On After Being Charged
Problem: I have a Galaxy S8+ . It was around 50% charged when I plugged it in overnight. This morning while it was plugged in the red light was on (solid) and the screen was black. It has not turned on even holding the power button. There is no battery access so I can’t pull the battery out to “soft reset”.
Solution: The first thing you will need to do in this case is a soft reset which is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. In case the issue still persists then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger. If you don’t see any charging indicator on the device then try charging the phone from a computer USB port.
- Do a soft reset again.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S8+ Battery Drains Quickly
Problem: I have an S8+ on my plan and a few months ago, they it began losing their ability to have a battery life. I did have the battery checked, and tech said that it was good. I am constantly charging the phone, even with little use. I checked to see if there was any software updates required on my phone, and it always says “software is up to date.” The phone still works great, but wish the battery could last more than 8 hours. Any ideas? Thank you!
Solution: The first thing you will need to do in this case is to check if the problem occurs when the phone is running in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If the phone does not have great battery life even in Safe Mode then remove the microSD card ( if the phone has one installed) then do a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could be caused by a faulty battery.
