LG G6 Touchscreen Lag After Software Update

Problem: At first my LG G6 was working fine but within a couple of months I start feeling lag and then the screen touch didn’t repsondas quick as what I expected before. I even reset my phone which causes lots of memory loss of past gallery thinking that it might fix but am facing the same issue.Seems after my recent update i am facing this issue. Any suggestions to fix ASAP!??

Solution: The first troubleshooting step you should try is to check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem. To do this all you have to do is to start the phone in Safe Mode as only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run in this mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by a downloaded app. You will need to find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then the next step is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This will allow you to check if a software glitch is causing the problem.

If the issue still persists after the reset then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

LG G6 With Shattered Screen

Problem: I have LG G6  that screen is shattered but when it was working you couldn’t see cracks at all when powered on ..I dropped it and now all it does is flash like a strobe light.. It does it when charging and you can’t even see home screen due to flashing .. What do you think needs replaced .I could send video if you could send email of where I need to send it to..I love this phone and would love to have it fixed….

Solution: Unfortunately, since your phone already has a damaged display the only way you will get this fixed back to normal is to have the whole display assembly replaced at a service center.

LG G6 Has Lines On Screen

Problem: LG G6 from Cricket mobile. Purchased only for a week and lines/sticking colors on the screen appeared. No damage was done to the phone to cause this. Cricket refused to help citing a one week warranty and I can’t get help from LG as they don’t list this phone as being sold through cricket on their support site. Colors (especially dark ones) that are left on screen for a long time with only moderate change (such as margin markers on forums, bars on videos) stick and slightly alter in tone until a whole new color palette is introduced. Additionally, lines on the screen can cause blank spots in viewed text at seemingly regular intervals. With my limited display knowledge my thought is a digitizer issue but I cannot easily get the back off this phone to check.

Solution: The first thing you need to do is to check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem. To do this just start the phone in Safe mode. If you don’t see the lines on the screen then this could be caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. In case the lines still appear even in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset to eliminate the possibility of this problem being caused by a software glitch.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a damaged display. You will need to have this fixed at a service center.

LG G6 Screen Is Black After Getting Wet

Problem: Hi, my phone phone fell into the toilet. submerged for about 2 seconds. work for another 2-3 minutes. then screen went black, but it seemed to be still on. I put it in a bag of rice. It seems to be charging an power up( I believe) , but the screen stays black. So I cant unlock it to at least connect it to my PC and get the data( pictures). I have the pass code obviously. Anything that could be done?

Solution: Although this phone is waterproof there are still instances when it can get water damaged especially if the water seals have been broken. The best troubleshooting step you can do right now is to place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours then check if the issue still persists. If it does then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
