How To Fix Samsung Galaxy A9 Turns Off After Powering On
Problem: My galaxy A9 won’t stay powered on and when I plug it up it’ll show the battery with the lightning bolt then it flashes off and a few seconds later it’ll show the battery with the percentage and that it’s charging but when I try to power it up it shut completely off I have to unplug it wait a few minutes then plug it back in and I’ve tried restarting it and it’ll have the logo and as soon as the android guy shows up it powers off again I’ve got it to stay and download mode without it powering off but nothing else has worked so far
Related Problem: Hi, I have tried all the things you have recommended to get the phone to turn on. Even went to Best buy to see if they could reset it. (do not have a repair plan with them) or at all. I plugged the phone in to charge it in evening. said fast charging. I left it there and went to sleep. Next morning phone was turned off and would not come back on. Very upset. I had a S6 for years and never, never had a problem with it. I just got the phone . I don’t think there is, but how would you know if there is water damage.
Solution: If your phone turns off after you have turned it on then the first step that you need to do is to make sure that the battery has sufficient charge. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to charge the device.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger.
- In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
Once the phone battery has sufficient charge then perform a soft reset. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.
In case the phone still does not turn on then try to check if you are able to access the recovery mode.
- Make sure that the phone is turned off.
- Press and hold Volume UP key and then power up the Samsung Galaxy A9 device by holding the Power button for a while
- Once you see the Samsung logo, you can release the button. If you see Android logo with “No command” text, Just wait a moment.
- Your phone will now enter the stock recovery mode
If you can access this mode then you should do a factory reset to eliminate the possibility of the problem being caused by a software glitch. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should have this checked at a service center as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.
