How To Fix Google Pixel 3 Stuck In Google Logo Screen

Problem: My Pixel 3 all of a sudden cut off last night in the middle of a call. The phone would not come back on. I put it on the charger even though I know it wasn’t dead. The phone came back on three times and each time it crashed as I tried to send a text to the person I was on the phone with about having phone issues. Now, it is ‘stuck’ on the Google logo screen. What I mean by this is my phone will be on the white Google screen and then cut off to black. This is constant, nonstop. The cut off to black happens about every 30 seconds. It then pops back up to the white Google screen again and the process continues in a loop. I have searched on forums how to reset, reboot, or fix this issue. I cannot find anything helpful. I tried to do a factory reset, but when I was on the Android screen and clicked Recovery mode, instead of seeing the Android robot with and exclamation point, the screen went back to the Google logo. I am going to try and go to Verizon this afternoon, but I need my phone for work and if I can get any help before then that would be great. Thanks you.

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to make sure that the phone battery has sufficient charge. Connect the phone to its wall charger then let it fully charge. Once this is done your best option right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that your personal phone data will be deleted during this process.

  • Make sure that the phone is off.
  • Press and hold the Volume down button. While holding Volume down, press and hold the power button until the phone turns on. You’ll see the word “Start” with an arrow around it.
  • Press the Volume down button until you highlight “Recovery mode.”
  • Press the Power button to start recovery mode. You’ll see an image of an Android robot with an exclamation mark (you may also see “No command”).
  • Press and hold the Power button. While holding Power, press the Volume up button once. Then release the Power button.
  • If “Wipe data/factory reset” isn’t highlighted, press the Volume down button until it is. Then press the Power button to select it.
  • Press the Volume down button until you highlight “Yes” (or “Yes – delete all user data”). Then press the Power button to select it.
  • After the reset is complete, press the Power button to select “Reboot system now.”

In case the issue still persists even after performing a factory reset then you will need to have the phone checked at Verizon.
