5 Best Wireless Printers For Home Use

Printers have evolved a great deal over the last decade or so. Today, we have printers that can use less ink and print more efficiently. But my favorite printer feature of all is wireless printing. And thanks to companies like HP and Epson, the market is now crowded with a bunch of wireless printers, designed to let you print sans wires using your smartphone, tablet or laptop.

Given that there are plenty of wireless printers out there to choose from, getting the best one can be quite a challenge. Keeping this in mind, we’re going to help you find some of the best wireless printers going around. We’re going to talk about the top 5 wireless printers out there that are suitable for home use. You shouldn’t be surprised to find multiple Epson printers on this list as the company is one of the top printer manufacturers in the world alongside HP.

So let’s have a look.

5 Best Wireless Printers For Home Use

Epson Expression ET-260

This is one of the most economical color printers you will come across. This is particularly noteworthy given that this is a wireless printer. The packaging includes up to 2 years worth of ink, so you probably won’t be investing in ink anytime soon. The onboard ink is capable of printing 4,000 black pages or 6,500 color pages. If you do run out of ink anytime soon, you can save up to 80% on the cost as per the company. As you probably guessed, this doesn’t come with a cartridge, but a series of tanks at the bottom with the ink bottles directly emptied onto these tanks. This is unlike any other printer on the market, making Epson stand out from the crowd.

It has a paper capacity of up to 100 sheets, which is quite minimal, but will get the job done nonetheless. One feature that we wish could’ve been better however is the print speed. The Epson Expression can only print up to 10 black/white sheets per minute and 4.5 color pages per minute. Much like any other printer in this segment, the Epson Expression can scan as well as copy documents. This printer won’t come cheap with Amazon currently offering this for $224.99.

Canon TS9120

This cost effective photo printer by Canon has won a lot of admirers and with good reason. It offers a wide range of connectivity options, including Bluetooth for wireless printing. This, however, doesn’t slow down the printing speeds of the printer. It uses a 6 individual ink system for a detailed print each time. It can print, scan or copy, much like any other printer in this segment. The TS9120 comes with a 5-inch touchscreen on board to help you navigate its controls. The company has been mindful enough to include dual-sided printing by default.

In order to keep prints from stacking over on the printer, the TS9120 will remind you to remove the documents from the tray. It’s clear that Canon is targeting this for homes as it is available in three exciting two tone finishes. Printers usually are available in a standard black or white color, but Canon clearly thinks differently. You can choose to get the TS9120 along with the XL ink which will set you back by $176.23. If you want to get just the printer, the cost comes further down to $99.

HP DeskJet 3630

This simple looking printer is HP’s best budget offering. But don’t be disheartened by the budget tag as it can do just as much as any other color wireless printer out there. This includes the ability to scan as well as copy documents, in addition to printing, of course. The design of this printer deserves a special mention as it doesn’t take up too much space in your home. It can sit nicely on a table or a shelf without eating into the decor.

The printer also comes with a quiet mode feature built-in by default, so you can print without waking up any one at home. There is a small display located on the top of the printer to help you guide through its features. It’s not state-of-the-art, but will still get the job done. It also works with HP’s printer apps that are designed to help with wireless printing through your smartphone or tablet. This printer can be snatched up for just over $80.

Epson PictureMate PM-400

This is a dedicated photo printer by Epson, which is a decent companion for any home. You can print 4×6 and 5×7 printouts with relative ease using the PictureMate, although the print times may vary depending on the paper you’re using. You can print using your smartphone as well as tablet. Given the compact size of this printer, this is a portable option as well, allowing you to carry it around practically anywhere.

There are no high-end controls here, although there is a small display that will help you set the printing size and modes. The company claims that a standard 4×6 borderless photo will be printed in about 36 seconds. This isn’t much compared to standard color printers, but considering the fact that this prints full photos, we’re not going to complain. This handy offering by Epson is priced at $195.99.

Samsung M2885FW

Samsung is not the first name that comes to mind when we think about printers. However, the company’s Xpress printer is here because of the kind of features it offers. It can print pages at 28 pages per minute, which is decent for a home printer. It supports a variety of document sizes as well, making it a handy solution for a home.

It’s slightly larger than the rest of the printers on this list, however, which might make it unflattering to some customers. However, if the size is no concern for you, it’s hard to look over the features offered by this printer. It offers duplex printing as well as the ability to print using your smartphone or tablet. At $249, this is certainly not the cheapest printer on our list. Be sure to check it out.
