So are there any gaming controllers that are compatible with the Galaxy Note 9? Well, there are and quite a few of them too. But not all of them are equally decent, which is why we’ve created this list to ascertain which one is the best among the lot. We’re going to talk about five different gaming controllers that are compatible with the Galaxy Note 9.

So let’s have a look.

5 Best Game Controllers for Galaxy Note 9

SteelSeries Stratus XL

The gold standard among mobile gaming controllers, the SteelSeries Stratus XL is a powerhouse as far as gaming controllers are concerned. While most mobile controllers are basically smaller versions of console controllers, the SteelSeries Stratus XL is built for mobile gaming. It comes with handy controls to aid you with your gaming, and an exceptional battery life, two of the most important things in any gaming controller.

However, it’s slightly bulkier than a few other gaming controllers out there, making this somewhat difficult to carry around. Thanks to the design of the controller, the user will face no stress on their fingers or hands when they are involved in a long gaming session. In terms of design, it somewhat replicates the XBOX controller, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Ergonomics is key here, and the fact that it performs really well is just the icing on the cake. The Stratus XL has seen multiple price drops since it was launched, and it is currently available on Amazon for $43.90.

Cinsey Game Controller

This is a heavily customized gaming controller and designed for games like Fornite, PUBG etc. As long as you can allow the controls of a game to be changed, this controller will be compatible with it. The way it snaps your phone together is quite interesting, though. Thanks to the smaller frame of the case, the thickness of your phone doesn’t affect gameplay performance in any way. Since the game is designed for shooter games, there are no additional buttons on the front, with only a few triggers located on the controller.

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it is sold to a specific kind of gamers. The controller also happens to be Amazon’s Choice, assuring users of the quality of the product. It is recommended to remove your existing phone case or cover in order to use this controller. If your device is too thick, it’s possible that the clamping mechanism on the controller might not work. This controller is cost effective with a price tag of only $13.95.

MOGA Hero Power

This company is no stranger to amazing controllers. The Hero Power is no exception to that rule. It comes with an XBOX key layout, so if you’ve got an XBOX at home, you’ll be well at home with the controls. This also means you get a full array of buttons like on the console, giving you enough freedom to customize the layout as you please.

The smaller size makes it a great companion for commuting, although the battery life is nothing to write home about. Still, however, you can eke out a day or two’s gameplay with this controller on a full charge. A clamp holds your phone together snugly with no chances of accidental drops or spills. It is always recommended to remove any protective covering from your phone to avoid making the whole thing cumbersome. This nifty game controller can be yours for just $20.21.

GameSir T1

This particular controller has a clamping mechanism, pretty similar to the MOGA Power Pro. It features an ergonomic design, ensuring a smooth and comfortable fit even after prolonged gaming sessions. It has four main buttons on the front, a D Pad, two analog sticks, two triggers on the back and two action keys right above it. This means that the layout is pretty identical to older gaming consoles like the PlayStation 3.

The onboard lithium ion rechargeable battery can last for up to 18 hours on a single charge as per the company’s estimations. In order for this controller to work on your device, you will need to be running Android 4.0 or higher. It’s a cheaper alternative to some of the expensive controllers. However, at $29.99, we feel it could have been cheaper. The reviews on Amazon suggest that it’s a great product, so if you’re looking for a dedicated gaming controller for your Galaxy Note 9, this offering should be high on your list.

8BITDO Zero

The most adorable gaming controller you will find, the 8BITDO Zero is so small that it can fit on your standard keychain. This makes sense too, considering how wireless mobile controllers are supposed to help you start gaming on the go. It comes with a bracket that needs to be attached to the controller, thus allowing you to pop your phone on it. It’s a pretty neat product, and all the essential controls are available here. What it’s lacking, however, is a primary trigger button.

This might take some getting used to for those who use bigger controllers for mobile gaming. Nevertheless, for something that’s this tiny, the feature set here is enormous. The 8BITDO Zero has mostly favorable reviews while several customers also vouch for the battery life on the Zero. However, the company has not discussed the battery life on the product listing. The 8BITDO Zero is priced at $16.98 on Amazon. Be sure to check it out.
