The #Samsung #Galaxy #S8+ is a large flagship smartphone released last year that uses an aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and back. It sports a 6.2 inch Super AMOLED display making it ideal for extended mobile gaming sessions. Its use of a powerful Snapdragon 835 processor combined with 4GB of RAM allows the device to run any app smoothly. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy S8+ turns off when disconnected from charger after getting wet issue and other related problems.

S8+ Turns Off when Disconnected From Charger After Getting Wet
Problem: My s8 plus was dropped in a swimming pool less than 1.5 meters deep for about 10 seconds while taking photo on holiday. After taking phone out of water camera was still on looked ok then 15 to 20 seconds later switched off and didn’t come on. After leaving in Sun for a day I tried charging it . Phone started charging and came on all looked good but it switched off after 20 seconds or so keeps doing this doesn’t switch no when not charging and switch off if take charger out. It’s as though battery is not working. But says battery is 100% charged but sometimes it’s displays as 76% charged. Hope you can help. Thanks.
Solution: In this particular issue it looks like the pool water has entered the phone and damaged a component resulting in this problem. The best thing you can do right now is to place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours to remove any presence of moisture inside the device. Once this is done try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then the phone is most likely water damaged. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S8+ Bootloop Even After Flashing Phone
Problem: Bootloop, can boot into fastboot mode and unable to boot into recovery. I do: flashed several boot images. flashed factory image. tried cmd-/fastboot boot recovery: no profit! created modified boot images(core based; credit :xda): no profit! PS: while flashing factory image, ‘it does not contain recovery.sig’ under the terminal extraction line ‘ extracting recovery’ and this was same for boot, system and vendor also. Although flashing process was successfully completed but bootloop continues.
Solution: If the bootloop persists even after flashing a stock firmware file then the problem is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S8+ Schematic Diagram
Problem: i’m working on my masters for computer science at the age of 43 but i’m very tech like repairing a broken wire or re soldering a loose wire or component and i have the lil power testing device of which its name is completely eluding my thought i can remember how to use it but forgot the name haha i believe it starts with an o idk it detects if there’s a loose or non working diode and other components including wires anyways i have a galaxy S8+ that charges and all the rest of the phone works and comes on but i believe that when i dropped it face down it didn’t even put a nick or tiny blemish in the screen but it i’m positive blew a connector or knocked a connector or wire loose so i need step by step instructions with clear instructions on what the component or wire may look like actually a picture diagram with each piece named by numbers is fine if u don’t mind helping a broke bitch like me figure it out on my own or if it’s simple just show the connectors or whatever components i need to look at first if i need to check every single component and wires with the ohm meter reader and as well whatever electrical component power or what i need to detect the actual problem the quickest and most efficient way i’m not tryin to learn by f’n up my phones i have a S7 Edge as well as the S8+ that both have connection issues something idk what i didn’t drop the phone there could possibly be some water damage i can’t remember honestly i only remember it just started glitching out the screen wont come on but the lights and sounds worked for a lil bit then it just stopped working well i just put it down never thought twice about it so i’m fixing to see if i can get it charged up and get it powered on i’m not sure how to open the back but i am gonna go back to the priorpage i was on before sending this email and it has your directions on how to do that and how to trouble shoot it but i’m proof positive its a blown connector or an interference or resistence in the wiring somewhere i have skills to repair it if i know what exactly the layout is supposed to look at and a full diagram with numbered names of what is the power cell the ground wiring the speaker wiring the wiring or connector for the screen and how its supposed to look will u plz plz help me i’ll send u some really sexy pics that’s all the compensation i have to offer u even tho i’m nohoe by any means but i’m very unashamed of my wild scorpio and sexy side i love it i’m crazy but crazy cool anyways i hope u will help me fix my phones i just need to know which component is what like i used to work on an assembly line at siemens electronics on the phone assembly line my specific duty all of my own was to send the breadboards thru the whatever machine and it would spit out non working boards and i would have to test every diode to make sure it was soldered down right in the right spot connected to the right wires like i had to completely diagnose a phone’s motherboards and fix them then test them then rerun them thru the machine they go thru when their finished and ready to be put inside the phone housing anyways i’m super intelligent when it comes to knowing how to read a wiring diagram and how to test the lil power looking cells / diodes and i know what a burned up computer or electronic breadboard component looks loose or burned out but i love the ohm reader cuz if its not simply a component or the power cord or wiring or component that makes the screen come on i can handle the repair even if i have to replace or rewire something i’ve helped install car stereos and can hook one up with a detailed shop owner copy of the detailed diagram i know how to put it all together i pretty much know what a wiring set up is each piece what wire goes to what whats the ground which is normally red or black but i’ve seen a stereo wiring set up that was blue for the ground and aany speaker wires i’ve ever encountered whether car radio or surround sound home sound system set up i’m super tech savvy and minded shit just makes sense as to what makes what work i just have never seen the insides of a cell phone before but as smart and intelligent that i am my long term goal is to 1st obtain a masters with honors in computer science like being so ahead of anyone else and learn how to make my own computer system then my second long term goal is to obtain a 6 figure salary fresh outta college bcuz i’m gonna go intern in austin at the dell plant there meet michael dell and give a warm heads up and thank him for starting his own computer store by designing what not a computer system exactly one run with a dell pentium processor just one piece developed a whole high priced and quick to be #1 pick for choices in laptops i finally was able to afford one i got a steal of a deal and got a dell inspiron pentium processor with windows ten for $239 and i fn love it it runs without a hitch like a dream i’ve always had it as my goal of my choice laptop and what d’ya know i got one may not be the super tweaked upgraded version that costs at minimal prices between 400 to 700 bucks anyways thank you for taking the time to read this i don’t ever keep anything simple oh yah i didn’t intend to go into that direction i only meant to add that i am really broke i’m on disability and they didn’t send my full check which still couldn’t afford me the funds to take the phones into someone else that’s fixing a simple repair that i can do with a diagram and names of pieces and what specifically i need to check that’s gonna keep my repair timing simple and not waste my time or wire or money if i have to replace any components or diodes or power cells or wires or could i use the components of whatever kind from the S7 Edge to the S8+?
Solution: If you are looking for detailed information on the internal components of the device, how to disassemble the phone, and how to replace its broken components then you should visit the ifixit website as it has several do it yourself guides on how to repair this model.
