J7 Screen Flickers When Battery Level Drops
Problem: Thanks for this platform may be it can help. I have a samsung galaxy J7 that has a problem after several months since i owned it. the screen started to flicker when the power level reaches 80% and the network goes off (WiFi is not affected) but when the device is plugged to power the problem vanishes. i took it to a services center in when the warrant was still valid they said the problem was the hardware but the reprieve just lasted for several months and then started again but then unfortunately the warranty had expired. i took it to the service center again and they were talking about the hardware which they had already “fixed” previously and expensive for sure. What could be the problem between the screen,power and network? I will really appreciate any assistance.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. Start by eliminating the possibility of a downloaded app that could be causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by one of the app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then the next step is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.
J7 Screen Flashes Intermittently
Problem: Hi there, my Samsung J7 has a few problems…firstly it gets an orange line around the full screen and flashes intermittently. It won’t recognize my pressing of the keyboard to send texts…often delayed and then it sets off on its own random effort. Letters repeat hundreds of times. Lastly when I take it off charging with a cable it tells me it is charging wirelessly and it reduces the battery percentage. I don’t have a wireless charger. Can you assist please,
Solution: For this particular issue you will have to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. In case it does then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing you can do right now is to have the phone checked at a service center.
J7 Screen Is Black After Drop
Problem: Hi, My wife says she dropped her J7 , and shortly afterwards the phone’s screen started going black starting at the top. Over the next 20 mins the rest of the screen went a darker blue and then black. Now it is completely black, but I can tell that the screen still responds (vibrates) and the led light is on. Could the fact that she dropped it be the cause? Has the screen come disconnected inside? Do you think this is something a person who’s a reasonably skilled tinkerer could fix? As we’re in Australia,Samsung local warranty support is far from our area, so I’d have to send it – if they simply say it’s not covered under warranty and will cost a fortune to fix, I’d rather have a go myself. Solution: It’s very likely that the drop has damaged the display assembly. You can try checking first if the issue is caused by a software glitch by doing a soft reset. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons until the phone restarts. In case the screen is still black then you can try disassembling the phone replace the display assembly yourself. J7 Not Turning On After Getting Wet
Problem: I dropped my phone in water,i left it to dry in rice for a few days as soon as it happened, however i’ve tried turning it on since and it makes noises like it’s booting up but the screen is blank.I put it on charge and there is a red dot in the top left corner so i believe it’s charging up.Is the phone repairable do you think?
Solution: If you have already placed the phone in a bag of rice for a few days and the issue still persists then the phone has most likely suffered from water damage. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
