J7 Randomly Turns Off

Problem: Galaxy J7 turns off on its own even when the battery is 100% charged. Pressing the Power key does not restart the phone; it will only respond once the phone is connected to a charger that’s plugged into a wall outlet, and sometimes a car charger (different cars, different results). The phone will work perfectly once it has been energized & unplugged from the alternate power source…until it decides to turn off again. At times this seems to be a hardware problem as the phone will suddenly turn off even after the simple motion of transferring the phone from one hand to the other. Then at times it appears to be a bad battery issue. Can’t figure it out.

Solution: For this particular issue you should first eliminate the possibility that the problem is caused by a software glitch. Remove the microSD card of the phone if you have one installed then backup your phone data. Once a backup has been made start the phone in recovery mode then wipe the cache partition of the device. Follow this up with a factory reset. Do not install any apps in your phone after the reset has completed. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already, possibly the battery. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Not Turning On Unless Plugged to Charger After Getting Wet

Problem:  I’d like to ask about my Samsung J7 . The phone has been dropped into the water and has been also rested for quite long time not in used. The phone itself can only turn on when it is plugged in to the charger, for though you can’t almost see the display is running. When plug off the phone goes dead straight away. What could it be according to my issue? Please help me out of the issue. Thank you very much in advance.

Solution: It’s very likely that the problem is caused by a water damaged component. Since you mentioned that you have not used the phone for quite some time then it’s safe to assume that any water that might be present in the phone has already evaporated. You can try to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. To do this backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If after the reset you still experience the same issue then I suggest that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Keeps Shutting Down Unless Connected To A Charger

Problem: My phone keeps shutting down and battery percent from 100% to 0% in seconds when not connected to a charger. I have updated all my apps but the problem is continuing please help

Solution: This problem is most likely caused by a faulty battery already and can only be fixed by having the phone battery replaced at a service center.

J7 Custom Binary Blocked By FRP Lock

Problem: hi, my J7 is battery drained and when i try charging  i see this inscription ‘custom binary blocked by FRP lock.’ in red letters at the top left corner of the screen. when i try to put on the phone it does not go beyond the samsung logo and the phone goes off again. please help me out.

Solution:  If you haven’t installed any custom firmware on the phone and this error message occurs then you should perform the following troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Remove the micro SD card of the phone if you have one installed.
  • Start the phone in recovery mode.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone.
  • Do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the issue still persists then you should consider flashing the phone with its updated stock firmware file. You can get this file as well as the instructions on how to flash your phone from the Sammobile website.
