This model is a premium mid range device that’s designed like a flagship phone but does not cost that much. The phone uses an aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass on the front. It has a 5.2 inch Super AMOLED always on display with a 1080p resolution. It has an IP68 rating making it waterproof as well as dustproof. Under the hood is an Exynos 7880 octa core processor which is powerful enough to run any app smoothly. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy A5 no command error and other related problems.

Galaxy A5 No Command Error
Problem: Hi. I have an A5 which has a major problem. When charging it, it boots up, displays the boot screen, then immediately goes to the blue screen with a yellow triangle with the exclamation mark inside it, and a white robot on its side underneath the triangle. Underneath the robot is the wording No Command. I’ve tried everything to reset the phone, but to no avail. I can’t take the battery out as its a fixed battery.
Solution: It appears that the phone is trying to boot to the recovery mode and waiting for your input. To fix this try doing a soft reset first. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds or until the phone restarts. If the no command error still shows then restart the phone in recovery mode then from here wipe the cache partition of the device then follow this up with a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. As soon as the reset completes reboot your phone.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
Galaxy A5 Music Stops Playing At Random
Problem: I bought an A5 about a month ago and everything was working perfectly. Then all of a sudden my music would stop playing at random. And these music files were saved on my phone. The same files ran crisp on my s5. Every time it stops, i get a notification from android system saying the music player app has stopped working but i can’t figure out how. I also tried using google play music and still it does the same. This is getting very frustrated and i can’t understand the origin of the problem. Please help.
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to check if an app you recently downloaded is causing the problem. Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue still occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
In case the issue still occurs in Safe Mode then the next step is to make sure that the phone is running on the latest software version then perform a factory reset. It’s a must that you backup your phone data before doing the reset as this will be erased in the process.
Galaxy A5 Notifications Are Not Showing
Problem: Galaxy A5. Notification dots are turned ON but don’t show. They used to. I will smash this thing yet. Why do they keep messing with what was ok. This is an important feature. I have spent several hours. They should make things WORK instead of trying to be clever. Do Apple have same problems?
Related Problem: I powered off my phone for a few days and when I turned it back on, the notification bar at the top of the screen has disappeared on my home pages….it is still there on all app pages. If have wiped my system cache, and also reboot into safe mode, neither of which made any difference. While not a super big issue it is irritating that I can’t see signal strength, temperature, battery life etc on my home screens.
Solution: If you have already made sure that the notification setting of the phone is switched on yet the phone is still not getting any notifications then this is most likely caused by a software glitch.
- Make sure that the phone is not in do not disturb mode.
- Slide your finger downwards starting from the top of the screen.
- Press the settings icon.
- Press Applications.
- Press the required app.
- Press Notifications.
- Press the indicator next to “Allow notifications” to turn the function on or off.
- Press the Return key twice.
The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset your phone notifications should be working.
