S8+ Touchscreen Is Unresponsive After Software Update

Problem: hi there,  just finished installing the latest Android 8.0 and Samsung Experience Version  on my Samsung S8+, Model number: G955A, the response on the touch screen is way way slow as if it’s unresponsive.  In particular, opening Gmail took a long time. Tried restarting for a couple of times but to no avail. In addition, the phone is really hot in temperature.  Even the fingerprint sensor is very slow. The whole phone kind of having a lot of glitches and not performing as it should. I wonder if there is any way to fix this or is there a way to uninstall the update?

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to check if any of your phone apps have any pending updates that needs to be installed. You can check this from the Google Play Store. These updates are needed so that your apps will perform more efficiently. In case you phone apps are already updated but then the problem still occurs then the next step is  to check if the problem is caused by old software data that has not been completely removed from the phone. To do this you have to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If after the reset the same issue still occurs then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already.

S8+ App Permissions Gets Disabled Randomly

Problem: There is a persistent problem with my phone concerning permissions.  This phone, from time to time, simply disables 80% of all permissions which were previously granted when it reboots. This problem has been reported all over the web with no real solution. Some have suggested it is the OS.  No definitive solution seems to exist, Since Google has provided no means of turning these back on as a group and there is no app to do so, the user is forced to toggle these permissions on one at a time for each app. In my case, there are at least 500 of these I have to toggle every time this happens. What else can be done?

Solution: Since this appears to be a software related problem the first thing you need to do is to make sure that your phone is running on the latest software update. If it already is and the issue persists then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Do not install any apps in your phone after the reset. Instead, try checking first if the issue still persists. If it does then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S8+ Not Turning On After Software Update

Problem: Hi I have a Samsung S8+  I am based in the UK but was on Everest “Nepal” for two months, Got off the mountain and back to Kathmandu Phone did an update during the night and now wont turn on or off! Have wiped the cash And did a soft reset and a restart but no luck < phone appears to be OK apart from the failed update. Have Lost all my Everest photos + Data . Samsung don’t care. Have you guys got any ideas?  Thanks!!!

Solution: The first thing you will need to do in this case is to make sure that the phone battery has sufficient charge. Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure that any dirt or debris stuck in it is removed. Once this is done connect the phone to a wall charger and let it charge for at least 20 minutes. Make sure that you see the charging indicator. If there is no charging indicator then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.  Turn on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
