The #Samsung #Galaxy #S8+ is one of the two flagship models released by the South Korean company last year. This phone can be distinguished by its larger 6.2 inch Super AMOLED display when compared to the S8. It also uses a much larger 3500 mAh battery which allows the device to be used at a longer period of time. Aside from this, most of the other components of the phone are similar to that of the S8. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy S8+ cannot detect microSD card after software update issue and other related problems.

S8+ Cannot Detect MicroSD CArd After Software Update
Problem: ISSUE: After a recent software update pushed to me, I am experiencing issues. As of today I can now no longer see my SD Card via phone or PC. A restart did not fix the issue. I cannot do the fake battery pull (I tried), likely due to the up volume button having been stuck for many months. more info: The software update was done a couple of nights ago. The Card was working fine prior to this and had images and music on it. I could see the images on the Card via the phone as recently as yesterday . I have run updates as they are pushed to me. I received this phone new last year. After the recent software update, the Gallery icon looks different today (maybe I just didn’t notice yesterday). The music files dropped from app Rocket Player first and then from Player, which is how I realized something was very wrong. I could see the SD card on my PC as recently as this past weekend but cannot now. The phone is in excellent condition, except that within a few months after receipt the “up” volume button decided to get stuck and now I use a downloaded software for volume (have used that now for many months). It has not been dropped and it has not gotten wet.
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to try using a different microSD card on your phone. This way you can check if the card you are currently using is defective. In case your phone can detect this new card then the problem is caused by the old card. It’s going to be difficult to retrieve any data stored in this microSD card especially it it can’t be read by the phone or your computer.
In case the phone cannot read the new microSD card then the problem could be caused by a software glitch. The best thing to do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps does not fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S8+ Pictures Got Corrupted When Using microSD Card
Problem: hi there i have a samsung S8+ i recently bought a sd card because the phone memory said it wasn’t able to take pictures because it was running out of storage so i put the sd card in, i still had the phone saying it needs more space confused as to this i gave my phone to a friend to look what was happening furthermore when i recieved my phone back most of my pictures was unable to open saying error, data error etc and none of my videos play or open still says the same thing. what do i do how do i get my pictures back how do i solve this i’ve lost everything i feel so angry and stressed because of this because the pictures are extremely sentimental of my daughter who i’ve been taking pics and videos ever since she was born now i’ve lost them all i didn’t make a icloud account or anything as i’m not very technical what can i do? if i restore back to main settings or something will i lose the data videos pics etc what will happen? the pictures and videos was fine before i let my friend have it extremely angry and upset please can you help me? if i have never backed the phone up is there no way to get it all back to normal??? help confused
Solution: You could try starting the phone in Safe Mode then check if you can access your photos and videos in his mode. If not then you should try connecting the phone to a computer with Smart Switch installed and try to use the software to backup your phone photos and videos.
In case you are still unable to access your media files then they are most likely corrupted already.
S8+ SD Card Tap Here to Transfer Media Files Error
Problem: I have a Galaxy S8+ and I keep getting the following notification that won’t go away “SD Card – tap here to transfer media files”. If you click on the notification it just takes you to a dead screen with My Files / SD Card and you can do nothing. The notification constantly reappears after you swipe it away. I’ve tried changing and reformatting my SD Card but the notification continues. It’s driving me nuts and I’ve been searching all over for a solution. This seems to have been happening ever since my phone updated to the latest software version. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Solution: If this problem occured right after a software update then this is likely caused by old software data that has not been completely removed from the phone. The best thing you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete the error message should disappear.
