Galaxy A3 Screen Will Timeout
Problem: I just purchased this phone and activated it last night. Upon setting it up, I noticed the screen would time out after less than ten seconds. I tried choosing different screen timeout times, and even tried selecting “keep screen turned on” under the screen timeout option, and it still times out after less than ten seconds. I have tried a factory reset since I hadn’t loaded much on to it yet, and I am still having the issue.
Solution: The first thing you should do right now is to check if the problem occurs when the phone is started in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then it’s very likely that an app you downloaded is causing the problem. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. In case the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then you should try to do a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
If the issue still occurs after the reset then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.
Galaxy A3 Screen Has Flickering Lines
Problem: There are three flickering lines on the screen when I watch a video or a darker image on my screen. They seem to be roughly equidistant from each other and distracting.
Solution: The best way to proceed in this case is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then the problem is caused by a faulty display. You should have this checked at a service center since you might need to have the whole display assembly replaced in order ro fix the problem.
Galaxy A3 Touchscreen Unresponsive After Getting Wet
Problem: Hello. I dropped my phone In a puddle and after I put my phone is rice for a couple days but the touchscreen still won’t work which means I can’t leave the lockscreen. The phone will work alright but when I touch the screen nothing will change it will stay at the lock screen. The phone still plays the alarms and the time is working which shows it’s not frozen. I cannot take me battery out as it isn’t possible. What do I do?
Solution: Since you have already tried placing the phone in a bag of rice after the phone got wet and this issue persists then it’s very likely that the digitizer of the phone has been water damaged. The best thing that you can do right now is to have the phone checked at a service center.
Galaxy A3 Has Dead Pixels
Problem: Hi, my A3 is having a problem,, its having a purple shade on the right of the screen and it started as a small shade but now its bigger. I went to the shop and they said the pixels of that place are dead. Is there any way i can do to solve the problem without replacing the display?
Solution: Unfortunately, the only way you will be able to fix the dead pixel problem of this phone is to have the display assembly replaced.
