J7 Screen Is Flashing After Inserting microSD Card

Problem: My Phone Screen starts blinking after Inserting and Mounting a newly formatted damaged SD card. Before the problem occurs: My SD card have been damaged a month ago I think it’s due to overheating because my phone always get very hot (in the upper part of my phone where the RAM and SD Card is located) when I play heavy games that the SD card finally gave up and it makes the phone freezes every time that cause the phone to be useless. So, I decided to remove the SD card and it makes the phone back to its normal function. So without trying to take the SD card back to the phone, I just keep the SD card in a safe place over a month. A month later With a temptation, I pick the SD card and decided to the take it back to the phone. My phone doesn’t freeze, but it says ” Damaged SD Card. Try reformatting it?” So I decided to press that suggestion. And it starts to reformat the SD card. There is no problem that affects the phone yet, until the problem starts after I press “Mount SD Card” in the phone settings. The screen starts blinking like an old light-bulb losing light which result that I can’t use the phone properly. It’s nearly useless right now. I can’t afford to buy a new phone so I’ve already watched some tutorial videos in YouTube but it doesn’t work. I hope you can help me with this problem. Thank you.

Solution: Try removing the microSD card from your phone then check if the screen still blinks. If it doesn’t then the problem is most likely caused by a damaged microSD card. You need to replace this with a new one. In case the screen still blinks even with the microSD card installed then you will need to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If this doesn’t fix  the problem then you will need to have this checked at a service center as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.

J7 Colored Spot Appears On Screen After Drop

Problem: I got a second hand Samsung j7  2017 recently after my previous phone died. I dropped it today, and while there was a small scratch on the screen, everything else was fine. A few hours later, this pink/purple/magenta blotch has appeared on the screen, right next to the power button. I don’t really understand if this is a stuck pixel issue or something else, and if someone could help, that’d be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Solution: It’s very likely that the drop has damaged the phone display. To confirm this further you can start the phone in recovery mode then check if the blotch appears in this mode. If it doesn’t then you should perform a factory reset in this mode. Take note that you have to backup your phone data before doing this.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then the phone display might need to be replaced. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Screen Is Black After Software Update

Problem: HI! I have the samsung J7 and when i tried to restart my phone, it had a blue screen come up saying it was updating systems. After this, the screen was black for a while with the LED lights still on but unresponsive. Later it was the blue light and now there is nothing. I did not drop it or expose it to any water damage, I was simply at work. I have tried many time the power+volume up/down, power+home, etc etc. please help!

Solution: The first thing you need to do in this case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge. Connect the phone to a wall charger then let it charge for at least 20 minutes. Once the battery has sufficient charge try turning on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. In case the issue persists check if you are able to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to have this checked at a service center.
