Galaxy J5 Screen Keeps On Flickering
Problem: I have tried the safe mode and the flickering doesn’t stop. I tried the cache partition cleaning and it also didn’t stop the flickering. I really don’t want to factory reset my phone because I don’t want to lose all my data on my phone. So I was wondering how much would it cost to repair the issue if I hand the phone in? Or get a better replacement I don’t know. The screen flickers at the lowest brightness setting and it slowly increased over the year I had it. Before the warning red line I would say 1/4th of the brightness needs to be up before the flickering stops somewhat. This happened 2 months after i got the phone and I hadn’t dropped it. I did install 1 or 2 games and a few weeks later it was flickering and I tried the safe mode and it was still flickering… please help
Solution: If the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then I highly recommend that you do a factory reset to eliminate the possibility of this being caused by a software glitch. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. In case it does then there’s a big possibility that the problem is caused by a faulty display assembly. You can either have this repaired at a service center or just get a new phone if the flickering is affecting the way you use the device.
Galaxy J5 Black Screen With Notifications Working
Problem: My J5 screen suddenly became all black but then all is working when i will turn it on. I can still feel the vibration when i’m holding the power button (to attempt power off) . So I tried doing a soft reset. When i switched it on there is a small white like light then black again in the screen. (As it is rebooting the led is still working) And when it is switched on (still black screen) its heating up. What’s wrong with this? Please help Asap. Thanks.
Solution: It looks like the display of the phone might be damaged. Try starting the device in recovery mode then check if the display works in this mode. If it does then the problem could be caused by a software glitch in which case you will need to perform a factory reset in this mode. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
In case the display still remains black even in recovery mode then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Galaxy J5 Screen Freezes After Getting Wet
Problem: Hello there, i recently dropped my J5 into the sea. I took it straight out and dried the phone in the Sun then in rice. The next day i tried to turn it on. The phone technically works because it has Made noises, vibrations and the bottom two lights have turned on. Even when i initially charged it the battery icon came up and Was switching between the charging icon and a warning icon with a temperature of thermometer icon. Then the screen froze and is now constantly black however it still makes noises and vibrates and has the two lights. As i’m typing this the screen is glitching out and freezing making strange bars across the screen…. Please help in so confused. Thank you.
Related Problem: My wife took the kids to the bus stop in the rain. She had her phone on her and, of course, it got wet. Not heavy wet, but wet enough to affect the stickers. We put it in rice and let it dry. After 8+ hours, we p turned it on. Everything sounded fine, but no display. So I unscrewed the backplate, removed the mainboard only, and let it dry for another 8+ hours. After reassembly, I still have a black screen. The lights flash, the little rumble thing goes off, it appears to make a good boot, but no display (black screen).
Solution: It appears that the phone has already been water damaged. The best thing that you can do right now is to place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. In case the phone still does not work after this then you should bring this to a service center and have it checked.
