S7 Mobile Data Not Automatically Connecting After Wi-Fi Is Turned Off

Problem: Hi there , My issue is Mobile Data not coming back after Wi-Fi is turned off or disconnected. I have to restart my phone each time it happens, that is the only way it will work. Turning Data on and Off or Turning wifi On and Off does not fix the issue, only a Restart. When it happens, I can’t even make phone calls when roaming, which I believe it is related to the Data issue since I am roaming. Thank you for the help!

Solution: If a restart will usually fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a software glitch. You should try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you should consider doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

S7 Not Connecting To Wi-Fi

Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 phone. I am trying to connect to our Wifi at the office but it won’t connect. I have turned Wifi off and on and chosen to forget the network and then scanned for it to reconnect but it still wont connect. I have compared the settings with a co workers phone which is the exact same model. I have gone into the our office Wifi details on our phone and clicked on Advance and I have noted that the “CA Certificate” mode is different to their phone. Their “CA Certificate” mode states it is “unspecified” where is my “CA Certificate” states it requires me to put one in. It doesn’t have the option to select “unspecified” only “don’t validate”. I think this is where the issue is.

Related Problem: Greetings! I am also having Wi-Fi connectivity issues with my S7 since the last update. While I am able to maintain a Wi-Fi connection at home, when I try to connect to the Wi-Fi at work, I am unable to do so. I’m the only one in the office with an S7 so I’m not sure if it is an issue with the update. However, I am the only one with this issue in the office and I didn’t have this issue before I updated my cell phone. Is there a way to uninstall the new update?

Solution: To fix this problem you will have to forget the Wi-Fi connection from your phone then restart the device. Once the phone has started proceed with the steps listed below.

  • From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  • Navigate to Settings – Connections – Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure the Wi-Fi switch  is turned on.
  • Tap Add network
  • From the Network name field, enter the office Wi-Fi name.
  • From the Security field, tap the Dropdown menu icon
  • Tap the appropriate security option: None, WEP, WPA/WPA2/FT PSK, 802.1x EAP
  • From the Password field, enter the appropriate password.
  • Ensure additional settings (e.g., EAP method, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap SAVE

S7 Connected To Wi-Fi But No Internet

Problem: My samsung galaxy S7 was working perfectly fine until yesterday my internet stopped working. It connects to the wifi perfectly but doesn’t work. Google works but no other websites open or social media apps. I rebooted my phone completely and it still wont work.

Solution: Try to check the other devices connected to the Wi-Fi network if they can access the internet without any problems. If other devices are also experiencing the same problem the this is most likely caused by a router or ISP issue. In case the other devices are not experiencing the issue then proceed with the steps listed below.

  • Connect your phone to a different Wi-fi network then check if the issue still occurs.
  • Forget the Wi-Fi connection from your phone. Restart your phone then connect to the Wi-Fi network again. Check if the issue still occurs.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the problem occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
