S7 Edge Screen Flickering After Drop
Problem: My phone fell down and the back panel broke. The phone was working fine until one day the screen started flickering and going blur. That happens a couple of times until it went off. After few days off not using it turned on fine but the flickering and screen blackout came back in an hour of use. What could be the problem and what should I do? The warranty is void due to crack on device.
Solution: It’s likely that the drop has damaged a component inside the phone. The best thing that you can do right now is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch by starting the phone in recovery mode then doing a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
In case the issue still occurs then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Screen Is Black After Drop
Problem: The phone was dropped screen first on cement. No scratches or dents however black screen. We can answer it by swiping the screen but that’s it. The screen is locked as well . We tried to unlock it just by guessing where the numbers were but that didn’t work to download on smart switch. Is there anyway to plug in and bypass the locked screen to recover contacts and photos at least? I also tried to press on volume and shut off button but nothing is giving us the screen back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just a side note im not sure of the version of the phone
Solution: Since the screen is black there is no way you will be able to access the data stored in the phone unless it is unlocked. Using the Find My Mobile service of Samsung or the Find My Device service of Google will not work in this case since you will still have to input the password on the phone screen. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. It’s very likely that the display assembly will have to be replaced.
S7 Edge Screen Does Not Show Anything
Problem: my s7 edge screen does not show any thing it does not respond to anything it has not been dropped or mishandled though i was using it then i placed it in my pocket then next thing i see when i took it out the screen is dead dead please help me
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to make sure that the phone battery has sufficient charge by following the steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a wall charger. In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also test if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
- Turn on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.
In case the phone still does not turn on then try starting it in recovery mode. If you can access this mode then I suggest that you wipe the cache partition of the phone then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
