S7 Edge Keeps Shutting Off And Restarting
Problem: I’ve had my Samsung S7 Edge for about 2 years now. 3 weeks ago I noticed that my phone keeps shutting off and restarting on its own. It’s annoying. I even have the battery charged to 100%. Once I unplug it from charger, it shuts off again. All I see is a light on the top left of the phone the whole time. I purchased 2 batteries and it’s still doing the same thing with each one. I cleared the cache and factory reset the phone twice. Same issue. I’m not sure what else to do
Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the issue still occurs then this is most likely caused by a faulty battery already considering that you have been using this phone for already 2 years. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. It’s very likely that you will need to have the battery of this phone replaced.
S7 Edge Stuck In Samsung Logo
Problem: Hi I have a samsung galaxy S7 Edge. I am having issues with my phone. when I push the power button on, it vibrates and you can see it starting but afterwards nothing happens. You see the samsung logo but it just looks dead. I took it to a shop and they reset it. I lost all my data and pictures. It worked for a few days and then it stopped working again. It was having issues with google play before it stopped working. please help
Related Problem: Yesterday my phone changed to the samsung Galaxy S7 edge screen then went off! It then changed to the battery screen and nothing happened when I attempted to charge it. No light….nothing(it got hot). I left it overnight to cool and tried all the advice on your site…it’s now stuck again on the Samsung screen and I can’t get it to switch off. I’m in a panic as my mother has Alzheimer’s, she calls me regularly, I can’t take it back as it’s well out of warranty nor can I afford to get it fixed so I’m hoping anyone can help. Please.
Solution: Try connecting your phone to a wall charger then check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t then this could be caused by a faulty battery. You will then need to have the battery replaced at a service center.
In case the issue still occurs then the next step is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If your phone has a microSD card installed then I suggest that you remove it. Do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t then the problem is most likely caused by a software glitch. In case the issue still persists then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Only Works When Plugged To Charger
Problem: Hello, a few months ago my samsung galaxy s7 Edge was dropped in the toilet while it was turned on and without any sort of case. We put it in rice for a few days after this happened. Now, we charge the phone in and it charges fine (the phone is not turned off), we are able to turn the phone on completely fine and use it normally while it is plugged into the charger. However, the moment you unplug the charger it all turns off but after you plug it back in again, it still says its 100% charged. Please help asap. Thank you
Related Problem: Hi my S7 Edge just turned off at 39% one day and wouldn’t turn back on unless I plugged it on charge and now it won’t stay on unless its in safe mode and on charge at the same time . but as soon as u pull the charger out it turns off and will only load the up to were it says ” Samsung galaxy s7 Edge ” and then turns off . the only way to keep it on is in safe mode and on charge at the same time . I’ve tryed a few of the other ideas I’ve seen but none seem to like the problem I’m having . do u have any ideas that would help please
Solution: This appears to be a hardware related problem already possibly caused by a faulty power IC. The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete immediately check if the issue still occurs. If it still does then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
