Note 8 Not Responding To Finger Touch

Problem: My Galaxy note 8 screen wont respond to my finger when i touch and slide the screen. But my spen works properly on the screen. There’s only 2 side on my screen that only work if i touch it and it is The bottom left and right side on screen/monitor. I try figure out how to solve it but none of my method works. I wonder can i replace only digitizer and use old lcd screen? . Is there a way that i don’t have to change lcd screen because my lcd screen works great with spen and still looks beautiful without any defect unless my screen not work with my finger. I try factory reset many times but it still same.

Solution: It looks like the digitizer of the phone is already faulty. Unfortunately, this digitizer is fused to the phone screen which means that you will need to have the whole display assembly replaced to fix the problem. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have the phone repaired.

Note 8 Screen Is Glitching After Drop

Problem:  I’ve been having issues with my phone screen. I have a Note 8 and I was horse riding and my phone fell out of my pocket and I wasn’t aware. I found my phone and it was still working but my screen was completely black and would start to glitch, I’ve had similar issues before but I didn’t drop my phone when it started. The glitching would stop and my screen would work when I would leave it on the charger but that’s not working this time. So I have no clue what to do. My phone is working but my screen isn’t. I also don’t know what the android version of my phone is, I would check but I can’t.

Solution: It looks like the drop has damaged an internal component in the phone. The best way to troubleshoot the issue right now is to start the phone in recovery mode. If the screen does not glitch in this mode then the problem could just be a software related issue. You will then need to do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

In case the above step fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 8 Randomly Shuts Down

Problem: My phone started shutting down for no reason, I restart and it just shuts down. did a soft reset  30 min later;screen was a series of tiny colored dots. would not shut down. Restarted 30 min later. Home screen is frozen. shut down.  Waited 30 min. Restarted home screen was fine for about 3 minutes then started behavior from the top of this message all over again.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data. Remove the microSD card of the phone if you have one installed before restarting the device. If the issue persists then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
