How to fix Facebook that keeps crashing on LG Q6

Facebook is a well-developed app and is updated every regularly. It’s almost impossible to say the problem is with the app but then again, things could happen. I experienced not having to use Facebook for an hour or two only to find out that Facebook servers were down in our region. The same thing could happen to you and if that’s the case, you really don’t have to do anything as the problem will be fixed. Now, if the app crashes on your phone, here’s what I suggest you do about it:

  1. Reboot your phone first – this should be the first thing you should do because there’s always a chance that the crash is due to a minor glitch in the app, firmware or even the hardware. So, take time rebooting your LG Q6 and open facebook after that. If the problem is still happening, move on to the next step.
  2. Reset Facebook app – a reset means to clear the app’s cache and data. This will bring it back to its default settings or configuration and all possible corrupt caches and data files will be replaced with new ones. If the problem is with the app only, then this method is more than enough to fix the problem.
  3. Update Facebook – I cannot guarantee that there’s any available update for the app but try to open Play Store and go to your apps to find out. If there is an update, then download and update the app.
  4. Wipe cache partition – you have to do this especially if the app started to crash after a firmware update. There’s a chance that some system caches got corrupted or became obsolete.
  5. Reset your phone – if all else fails, you have no other choice but to reset your phone. This will bring the device back to its factory settings but will also delete all your files and data stored in the phone’s internal storage. So, make sure you backup your important files prior to the reset. I am certain a reset will fix any app-related issues.
