S9 Stuck In Samsung Logo After Battery Drained
Problem: I have had a Samsung S9 for about 2 months and after the battery fully drained last night it will not power on past the opening logo. It charges but several troubleshooting steps were unsuccessful. I have tried booting to safe mode, booting to recovery mode and wiping the cache, viewing the recovery logs (which mean nothing to me). Pulling the SIM card also had no effect. I was hoping to recover the phone without having to do a factory wipe. I have read that maybe using the download mode I could attach to the system and recover some data before wiping. Possibly doing a firmware update might unstick it? Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Solution: For this particular issue you should remove the microSD card of the phone is you have one installed. Once the card has been removed make sure that the phone is charged to 100%. In case the phone does not charge then follow the steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port using a can of compressed air making sure any dirt or debris stuck in the port is removed.
- Charge the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger.
- You can also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
- If you have a wireless charger then try charging the phone with it.
One the phone is fully charged you should try turning it on by pressing and holding on both the power and volume down buttons.
If the phone is still stuck in the Samsung logo then you should consider doing a factory reset in recovery mode. Since this will delete your phone data you can try connecting the phone first to a computer with Smart Switch installed and check if you are able to backup your phone data with the help of the software.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S9 Moisture Detected In Charging Port
Problem: Good afternoon I own a asset Recovery and Investigations Business.. I own 2 Samsung S9.. Both of those phones work great up until the last couple of days.. The 1st problem is they both do not stay connected very well they run very slow number to every time I go to search for something it tells me this connection can not be completed or is in are rubbed it in then you have to hit the reload button and then it will load.. Next is one of the phones started having a problem when I connect to my charger and it would tell me that the phone charger or the phone has been wet neither 1 has happened in now my other phone has started doing the same thing.. I keep the same 2 USB PHONE CHARGERS beside my bed I never use them for anything else and then I use the same phone charger In my cars and trucks.. Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that the charging port of the phone is completely dry. To do this you can use a mini vacuum or a hair dryer to remove any presence of moisture in the port. Once this is done restart the device then check if the issue still occurs. You should also try using a different charging cord and wall charger to charge the phone.
If the problem persists then the next step is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete check if the issue still occurs. In case it does then you will need to have this checked at a service center.
S9 Will Not Charge
Problem: My S9 won’t charge with any charger and whenever I try to charge it or turn it on, my notification light starts beeping. I’ve cleaned the charge port in my phone as well but no luck. I can’t even open it in recovery mode. Please help
Solution: If you have already cleaned the charging port of the phone and it still does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port. If you have a wireless charger available and the phone charges with it then we might be looking at a damaged charging port.
