S9+ microSD Card Photos Get Corrupted
Problem: Hi all! I’m having problems with a new SD card in my phone. I’ve just bought a new 64gb SD card as my 32gb is getting low on space too often – Anyway, I copied all the files from my old sd card to my pc, and pasted them onto the new card – firstly, it copied half of them OK, but the others copied over as empty folders (even though the space was still taken up on the card) I rectified this by copying them all in batches, and that seemed to work – but now, when I take pictures (that save to SD card), some of the pictures will corrupt (not all of them). I put the old SD card back in (with all the previous information on it untouched), and it saves to the card fine, no corruptions, as it did before – but the new one keeps corrupting some of the images every now and again. It does the same when copying apps over to the card – it tries to copy them, then says there’s not enough space so keeps the app on the phone (even though there’s plenty of space), but when I check in File Commander, the space from the app has been taken up on the card? Is this the card? Do I need a new one and copy stuff over again? Any information would be most helpful Kind regards
Solution: It looks like the new microSD card that you have is causing this problem as your photos don’t get corrupted when you use the old microSD card. You can try to format the 64GB card using your phone then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to replace this card with a new one.
S9+ Cannot View Hidden Files On microSD Card
Problem: I had hidden pictures and videos on my sd card on my s7. My s7 was damaged and I now have the s9+. I put my sd card in and I see all my pictures except the ones I made private on the s7. When I go into my gallery and do the hide/unhide option, I cannot see my hidden pictures and videos. How can I get these back?would I need to borrow an s7 to unhide the pictures and videos, take off the private then put it back in my s9+ and make them private there? Hope you could understand what I’m talking about. Thanks
Solution: What app did you use to make the pictures and videos hidden in the microSD card? You might want to check the app on how to make the files accessible again.
If you connected your phone to a computer and used the file explorer program to set the attributes of the photos and videos to hidden then you can simply connect the phone again to a computer then unhide the files.
S9+ Apps Work Slowly After Adding microSD Card
Problem: I bought a an SD card from wish and once I installed it my photos from the gallery disappeared and I cannot open the folder at all it says ” sorry photos have unexpectedly closed ” I tried doing a soft reset it didn’t work all my apps are very slow and wonky (I don’t know if this has anything to do with that though).
Solution: This problem will usually occur if you are using a faulty microSD card. You need to get a new card to fix this problem. Make sure to get a card from a reputable brand with at least a UHS-1 class rating.
