8 Replies to “Solutions for Samsung Galaxy S4 Email Problems [Part 1]”

  1. This is in regards to problem #3 submitted by Karen concerning her inability to reply to messages on the Samsun S4 smartphone. I had the same issue with my S4. Every time I would hit the reply button the message “loading messages” would pop up and the the app would freeze. After researching the problem on the web, I ran across a possible solution that said to go to the Apps Manager on my phone and disable the Android Web Viewer. It did the trick. Hopefully it will not prevent other features from the phone from working. So far so good.

  2. I have the exact same problem as Morgan (above) on my Galaxy S4. I do not believe it is a Charter email problem, as I checked all the settings and I have no problem with this on my laptop. I did clear the system cache and took out my battery to no avail. This has only been happening for a few weeks. I have worked around by responding to emails on my laptop or generating a new email to respond, but head for Florida in a week and want this resolved!

  3. I would like to uninstall the native email app on my Galaxy s4 and then reinstall it. It has worked well for a couple of years, and now it is having a problem that seems like a glitch in the app. It will not allow me to reply to emails. When I hit the reply arrow, the reply screen comes up, but so does the the message that it is “loading messages” preventing me from being able to type a reply. That will not go away unless i hit the back arrow, and even then, it will not allow me to type anything in the reply window. if in the rare instance, I am able to type something, when I hit send, the “loading messages” message comes up again.I t seems like the app has gone haywire, and that uninstalling and reinstalling would work. What do you think? I’d have just done it, but I don’t know where to find the app once I’ve removed it.

  4. I am in the same boat with my Samsung Galaxy s4 and gmail. I get the message that the server has changed and they are unable to authenticate my account. Rebooting phone does not help. I have gone through the entire email menu and tried changing things up, but nothing seems to change the problem.

  5. I havie problem #3 and I have tried your recommended fix for my S4. It des not work. I have cleared system cache and I have re loaded the email Client account settings without success. I am using Outlook email

  6. Samsung Galazy 4 – worked great till some app called TAP came on. I got rid of it but now can’t automatically get emails anymore, can send but not receive. Only way to get them is to power off the phone, wait and start it again. Then emails will come through.

  7. I have a Samsung Galaxy s4 mini.
For the past 3 years it has worked wonderfully. All of a sudden, I am unable to open emails (whether they are new ones, or older ones sitting in my inbox.) The screen goes white and the buffering arrow rotates until the email app shuts down.
I am able to open these emails on my computer and ipad.
I’ve tried shutting everything down and reopening without any success.
