S7 Wi-Fi Switch Can’t Be Clicked
Problem: My daughter’s samsung galaxy S7 will not allow her to click the wifi button. It acts like it is searching for it but won’t connect. We have tried all of the suggestions including clearing the cache and the factory reset. When we type in the *#0011# code it doesn’t give an option to close the wifi. Not sure if we just need to take it back to tmobile.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This way you will be able to check if a software glitch is causing the problem. After the reset do not install any apps in the phone yet. Try checking first if the issue still occurs. If it does then the phone might already have a faulty Wi-Fi chip. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Text Messages Not Sending But Is Received By Recipient
Problem: I did a system update on my phone about 3 or so weeks ago and called samsung they said they haven’t had no other complaints but when I send text message it says not sent but I know it did cause the other party reply back and they told me to factory reset and everything well it didn’t work. Related Problem: Like others have posted, I am experiencing issues with my text messages on the S7 using both the stock app and FB Messenger. When I send a text, it says that it is “sending”. More often than not, I have gotten a reply to the text and then my phone tells me that “sending failed”. I have done both a cache/data partition wipe AND a factory reset, but still have the issue. I’ve only had the phone about 4-5 months.
Related Problem: I have a straight talk samsung galaxy s7. Every time I send a message, it says message failed to send. The person is receiving the messages and I can receive messages as well with no problem.
Solution: Since a lot of people are experiencing this problem right after the recent software update this leads us to believe that this is caused by a software bug. There are however some troubleshooting steps that you can perform to fix this problem which we have listed below.
- Clear the cache and data of the messaging app.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then this could already be caused by a software bug. You should try to check if a new software update is available that will address this problem.
S7 Mobile Data Is Slow
Problem: Hi, TDG Team! I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, and just recently I have encountered an issue with connectivity. I do not have wifi, so I just use my unlimited data with T-Mobile. Within the last day, I try to use facebook, or my bank app, or any other app and it is extremely slow. E.G: when using the internet and trying to load a page, it takes so long that it gives me an error message saying page is taking too long to load. On my facebook app, I can connect, but it takes forever to load and no pictures/ graphics or videos will show. Lastly, on my bank app, i try to sign it but it gives me an error message telling me there is a problem with my connectivity. I have cleared my app cache, rebooted to safe mode and cleared cache, uninstalled unnecessary apps, deleted files to clear space, reset my connection settings to default, and even enable developer settings to see if I could find anything, but no luck yet. I have not reset to factory settings yet, as I was hoping there might be an alternative solution. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me if you know of any solution. I’m at my wits end with this. THANKYOU!!!
Solution: Is your phone getting an LTE signal? If it isn’t then try checking the network mode of the phone
- Slide your finger downwards starting from the top of the screen.
- Press the settings icon.
- Press Mobile networks.
- Press Network mode.
- Choose the LTE/3G/2G (auto connect) setting
You should also check if the issue occurs when you are in a different location. This way you can check if the problem is caused by a poor mobile signal in your area.
S7 Turns Off Randomly
Problem: Phone turns on and off randomly started it up in safe mode, same thing, erased the cache partition and did the factory reset. Moved on to plugging it in and it seems to have stopped the random resets however it faults when you make a call, like it takes awhile to dial then when it connects you can’t hear anything either way. It also will lock up, like if you push the volume button it may take a few seconds to respond, or react when other buttons are pushed. I thought it could be the battery, but I am wondering if it’s the firmware? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you for your time
Solution: It’s unlikely that the problem is firmware related. This could either be caused by a faulty battery or a faulty power IC. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 App Not Responding
Problem: i am using the samsung s7 i have downloaded facebook, messenger, snapchat, instagram etc and every time i go on any of these apps it doesnt load and just says not responding i have done a factory reset and it still does the same.
Solution: Usually if you do a factory reset the issue will be resolved. In this case though it appears that the problem still persists. Some additional troubleshooting steps that you need to do are listed below.
- Make sure that your phone is running on the latest software update.
- If you have a microSD card installed in your phone then try removing it.
- Make sure to download apps only from the Google Play Store.
- Make sure that the phone is connected to a strong and stable Wi-Fi network or LTE mobile data.
In case the issue persists then I suggest that you consider flashing your phone with its updated stock firmware file. You can get the file from the Sammobile website which is also where you can get the instructions on how to flash your phone.
S7 Screen Has Horizontal Lines After Drop
Problem: My Samsung S7 fell down.After that I saw two horizontal lines appearing after some time the screen turned into rainbow colour and the lower part of the screen keeps on flickering. Please help me.
Solution: Unfortunately it appears that the display has been damaged by the drop. You can further check if this is the case by backing up your phone data then doing a factory reset. If after the reset the issue persists then you will need to have the display replaced at a service center.
