S7 Does Not Turn On After Flashing

Problem: Hi, i put s7 is the device option but it is actually the s7 active. This may be pointless, as i’m pretty sure my phone is a paper weight now but it’s worth a try. I rooted my device but it was very laggy and i was having minor issues such as such as shut downs without my permission. so i unrooted just by reflashing G891AUCS2BQD4 via odin. i then updated it all the way up to G891AUCS2BQH1 via SD card. not sure but i think it might have effected it by updating thru SD card. was that ok? After completely updated i used the phone for the rest of the night with no problems. the next morning i used my phone for maybe 5 mins and then it died or went black on me. Haven’t been able to get it back on. it’s now been a day later and still no luck. the scary part is i don’t get any response when charging it. none that i can tell anyways. i’ve tried all the button combos there’s, unless there’s some really new ones that aren’t that heard of or somthing. lol. can’t get into recovery mode or download mode. obviously cant get into safe mode if it wont turn on. tried holding power for a while. i’m letting it die in hopes of getting somewhere with a charge from there. like i said, i’m pretty sure i’m S.O.L but this is my last attempt before i’m phoneless for a while. thank you for your time!

Solution: Since you were able to use the phone without experiencing any issues right after you flashed and updated its firmware then it’s likely that this could be a hardware related problem already. Thebest troubleshooting step that you can do right now is to make sure that the battery has sufficient charge to turn on the phone. To do this just follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • First, you should perform a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Your phone will normally restart after this.
  • Charge your phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger.
  • If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger.
  • Try charging the phone from a computer USB port.
  • Try wirelessly charging the phone.

In case the phone still does not respond after performing the steps listed above then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Contact List Disappeared

Problem: My husband’s phone, Samsung Galaxy S7, has been acting very strange.  Almost all of the phone numbers in his contacts list have disappeared.  In addition, when he tries to edit a contact, it may just disappear randomly, then somehow when he puts the name of the contact in, the rest of the information reappears. Another problem: We use our in-house internet (from cable TV) for our cell phone connections.  My phone (a Samsung Galaxy J320V) gets pretty decent reception, but the only way he can talk to many people is to be facing an exterior window. This doesn’t seem right!

Solution: This appears to be caused by a software glitch. To fix the problem perform the troubleshooting steps listed below. After performing a step immediately check if the issue still occurs and if it does then proceed to the next troubleshooting step.

  • Restart the phone. This will refresh the phone software and usually fixes the problem.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Moisture Detected Error

Problem: My boyfriend has a Samsung galaxy s7 and it said its has moisture in it but it hasn’t had any go in it. We have cleaned out the charging port and it’s still saying the same thing. Should he just go to a tech or is there something he can do?

Solution: You will usually get the moisture detected error whenever the phone detects moisture in the charging port. What you will want to do in this case is to wipe the phone dry with a cloth. Use a vacuum to suck any moisture in the charging port as well as in the audio port. You can also use a hair dryer to facilitate the quick evaporation of moisture in the ports. Once this is done restart the phone then try charging the phone using a different charging cord.

In case the issue persists then you should check if this is caused by a software glitch by doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Keeps On Rebooting

Problem: My phone keeps turning off and rebooting again and again. I have tried the clearing the cache and suddenly it worked normally for a short while and I am now worried if it may happen again

Solution: If clearing the cache of the phone fixed the problem then it is most likely caused by a corrupt temporary data. If this problem happens again then you should consider doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

S7 Send USSD Failed Error

Problem: Just bought a galaxy S7, after the first or second update it always shown a pop up window with the message: “Send USSD failed” and also this symbols “:)”. Can’t stop it and it keeps doing over and over again.

Solution: Is your phone in roaming mode? If it is then the phone will not be able to use the USSD service since this is specific to the SIM card and the original network. Since you are in roaming mode and using a different network then you will get this error.

S7 Restarts And Freezes

Problem: hey i have a Samsung S7 32 GB  phone. and it starts to hangs a lot and it also restarts by its own. It also froze many times. I have done trying everything from factory reset to reboot. help me its too much frustrating…

Solution: Does the phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it as this could be causing the problem.

In case your phone does not have a microSD card or if the issue still occurs even with the microSD card removed then this could already be a hardware related problem. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
