S7 Edge Touchscreen Is Unresponsive Issue

Problem: I left my Samsung S7 edge charging over night. This morning the touchscreen was unresponsive. It shows my notifications but nothing happen when I tried to unlock the screen or switch it off. I tried the holding down volume down and power button and nothing happen.

Solution: Try turning off your phone then starting it in recovery mode. From here wipe the cache partition of your phone then restart the device again. Does the screen work? If it doesn’t then I recommend that you start the phone in recovery mode again then do a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data. If the problem still occurs after the reset then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Screen Blinking Continuously after Drop

Problem: My s7 edge fell down and it screen started to to blink continuously but there is no damage on the screen or on device can u guide me how to solve the issue  thanks

Solution: Try checking if the same blinking issue occurs when the phone is started in recovery mode. If it doesn’t occur in this mode then you should consider doing a factory reset from here. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If the problem occurs in recovery mode then some component of the phone, possibly the display assembly,  might have been affected by the drop. If this is the case then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Screen Green Color After Drop

Problem: I dropped my phone and the screen cracked but cracked inwardly and seemed fine. I then put it on charge and the screen went crazy. I unplugged it and the screen went black. I rebooted it by holding the power key and down volume button and it rebooted itself and seemed fine. However when the screen the locks and I go to unlock it a green screen appears and I have to keep rebooting it to get it to work. Is it a case of replacing the front glass and this is could fix it. Maybe the pressure from the break on the screen?

Solution: The crack on the screen could be affecting some circuit inside the phone which is then causing this problem. You will need to have the whole display assembly replaced at a service center to fix this problem.

S7 Edge Screen Keeps Blinking

Problem: My Samsung s7 edge screen keeps blinking and even when I reboot, as soon as the Samsung logo comes on, it still blinks. I have tried to do a hard reset but it won’t work, I can’t switch off the phone coz the power button doesn’t seem to work. This happened suddenly when I was watching a video on my phone. What could be the problem and how do I fix it coz I’ve tried all the steps u give and still won’t work.

Solution: You should try starting the phone in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If the reset does not fix the problem then you have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Screen Flickers Then Turns Green

Problem: I’ve never dropped my S7 edge and I took it to Verizon and the guy tells us it’s flickering because the third screen is internally cracked and you can’t see it. I tell him that’s impossible because I’ve never dropped it. What is going on? It flickers and turns green.

Solution: If the display has a crack then it’s possible that this problem will occur. Since you mentioned that the phone was never dropped then you should check if a glitch in the phone software is causing this problem. To do this you have to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset if the issue still occurs then this could already be a hardware related problem possibly caused by a crack in the display.

S7 Edge Screen Does Not Timeout

Problem: Display screen does not timeout ,always on unless I push lock screen button

Solution: The first thing you need to do in this case is to check the screen timeout settings. It might be set to 10 minutes which is why the screen does not timeout.

  • Tap the Settings button
  • Tap Display.
  • Tap Screen Timeout.
  • Try setting the timeout to 30 seconds

You should also check if an app you downloaded is causing this problem. To do this just start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should consider doing a factory reset. Take note that you will need to backup your phone data before doing the reset as it will be deleted in the process.
