S7 Edge Screen Flickering White After Phone Dropped

Problem: My s7 edge dropped and when I picked it up the screen wasn’t cracked or anything but then I turned it on and the phone turned white and it is flickering a bright white light, it sometimes goes away and it stops being super bright and flickering but it comes back to the same problem after a while for no reason. I need help

Related Problem: MY Samsung S7 Edge phone has been dropped and I see flickering issue and it’s really difficult to use the phone.. I don’t see any damage to the phone from outside. Can you please let know what can be done?

Solution: There’s a possibility that the drop might have affected the way the display works or it might have loosened some connection inside the phone. The best way to troubleshoot this problem is to check if this is caused by some software glitch. Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If after the reset the issue still remains then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this is most likely a hardware related problem already.

S7 Edge Camera Has Green Tint Issue

Problem: i am using s7 edge 935F international model whenever i open the camera app the screen starts to flicker and the camera shows green tint to every subject and then purple and green bands keep popping on the screen sometimes they go on their own this usually happens in low light and indoor incandescent light environment. However when i close the camera app everything goes back to normal no hiccups and no flickering. I am worried what should i do.

Solution: The first thing that you should do in this particular case is to check if the issue is caused by a glitch in the camera app. Try clearing the cache and data of the camera app from the application manager then check if the issue still occurs. If the issue persists then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone works in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

In case the issue still occurs even after performing the steps listed above then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.

S7 Edge Stuck In Bootloop

Problem: My phone just goes to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge screen for 5 seconds then goes black for 5 seconds. It just keeps repeating this over and over. I tried to reboot in recovery mode but it just stays on the screen that says “recovery booting…” and never actually gets to the blue screen with the robot on it. Help….please

Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing this first as this could sometimes cause boot issues. Once there is no card present in the phone proceed with performing a simulated battery pull which is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If the issue remains then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger.
  • With the phone connected to its charger start it in recovery mode. From here you will need to perform a factory reset, Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the issue persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.

S7 Edge Getting Duplicate Text Messages

Problem: I just got a replacement insurance phone, a galaxy s7 edge, and now I’m getting doubles of every incoming text. I did some research and found double contacts were causing some issues, which I did have duplicate contacts when I checked, but I got rid of the second copies and I’m still having trouble with the messages. I didn’t start getting doubles right away but it started this morning and it’s happening with every person who sends a text. I’m using Verizon messaging plus and it is set as my default messaging app. Please help.

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to clear the cache and data of the Verizon messaging app from the application manager. If the issue persists then try checking if an update to this app is available. If no updates are available then you should try unsubscribing to the Verizon messaging app and instead just use the stock messaging app of the phone. To unsubscribe just open the Verizon messaging app then go to settings. Scroll down to the bottom until you see the Integrated Messaging Features option. You can unsubscribe from here.

S7 Edge Can’t Make Phone Calls

Problem: I recently paid off my Galaxy S7 Edge to Sprint and I requested for my phone to be fully unlock, so I can use it with domestic and international Sims but even tho they said it’s unlock it keeps giving me the message Invalid SIM then they finally unlock the phone but so far I can receive phone calls but it won’t dial out when I try to make calls, what can I do now??

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to verify that your account is able to make calls. You can do this by contacting your carrier. Once you have made sure that your account is able to make calls then it’s time to troubleshoot the phone by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode,
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S7 Edge Shuts Off Randomly

Problem: My phone shuts off for no reason. I can be on it doing something and it will shut off but comes right back on. It does it like 20 or more times a day. Please help me!!

Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it as this might be causing the problem. If your phone does not have a microSD card then your other option is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Freezes

Problem: Hi, I’ve tried all the above but none has worked on my phone. When i turn on my device it remains frozen on  i’ve tried to reboot it and reset factory settings but nothing works. I thought it was my battery but i just bought it last year. Iv brought a new charger but it won’t show if it’s charging or not. Could it have a virus? Please help me. Thanks in advance!

Solution: If your phone has a microSD card then try removing it as this might be causing the problem. If the card is already removed and the issue still persists then this could already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
